Identify and list legislation and notational guidance affecting pressure area.
-The Safeguarding of vulnerable adults looks at our responsibility and accountability of keeping people safe and would include risk assessment to identify the breakdown of the skin.

-The Safeguarding Act –ensures the importance of policies and procedures are put into place to protect the service user.

-The Social Care Code of Practice, identifies roles of the care worker.

-The NHS Guidelines on wound care, tissue visability relevant protocols that shoud be included in the sand procedures.
-Also to take into consideration : - Manual Handling Policy - Health and Safety Act - Control of substances that are hazardous to health - Service User - Confidentiality - Human rights

Also that their needs are being met, inclusive practise and diversity is being followed out and that the setting is staying within the law.
