30 Days - Straight Man in a Gay World

The TV show Thirty Days is talk about a sincere Christian; Ryan is sent to ED’s apartment which in Castro to live for 30 days. Castro is a place in San Francisco which is almost completely gay community and has more than hundreds and hundreds of homosexuals. Ryan is a heterosexuality guy and he believes in homosexuality is just a choice. He used to be an army and he feels like male should have masculinity. For example, he loves to play football and he has some guns which he called it to ‘babies’. He is a devout Christian. His apartment has a picture of Jesus on the wall. He thinks gay is wrong in the mind because of bible said that it is wrong. He has his first dinner in Castro with 12 gay guys, he said that marriage is should be between a man and a woman. Merry to same gender is wrong which is come from bible. In the second day, he asked Ed that how can he realized that he is gay and he said that he can’t think about people was born with gay. In the 7th day, Ryan told Penny Nixon who leads the Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco that he thinks that homosexuality is a fault. It’s something that homosexuality need to recognize. He also mentioned "Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is abomination." that one of the most controversial pieces of the Bible. Even Ryan didn’t say that homophobia or sexism but I feel he has in the deep of his mind. He believes the relationship of couple should be between female and male and homosexuality is totally wrong. At the begging, Ryan said that he kind of worried about he is going to a gay guy’s apartment but he’ll be fine if he don’t get touch. The first day he arrived Ed’s apartment, he shocked that he found out that there’s a huge mural naked man on his bathroom. The second day, Ed woke Ryan up and Ryan felt strange. At first, he felt so wired and uncomfortable that many gay people around him....
