30 Day (immigration)
In the 30 day immigration show was about Frank George a member of the minutemen border patrol group, who lives for 30 days with a Mexican family who are illegal. Frank George from the start stated that he hated illegal immigrant who Crouse the Mexican board who takes the Americas jobs. Living in a small house with one bedroom and five other people Frank became remorseful to the illegal Mexican family. Frank showed many sign of sympathy to the family throughout the show.
In the middle of the show the mother of the family invited Frank to go with her to count the money of the cans she had collected throughout the whole year. Thought the whole year the ladies only collected $45.00 which she said in front of frank that the money she have collected will be for the kids for charismas gift that they wanted. When she mentions that, Frank face turned into sadness. To be honest that when the lady broke that wall. That when I saw frank show sympathy and consideration.
Another part where Frank show sympathy was when the lady talks about her family and how it was losing her mom and dad in Mexico and not going to see them or going to their grave. She mentions that she would love to go back to Mexico go to their grave and apology’s for not being there when they needed her. Frank immediately though about his mother, what she been threw and what she had to go threw not going to Cuba to see them. Frank was so sensitive and so compaction in that screen.
What really grab my attention in this film or show was when frank decided to go to Mexico to see where this family lived. When he got there is wanted to leave as soon as he got there. He couldn’t believe they spent their life there. Living, sleeping and working there. He couldn’t imagine them working so hard to put food on the table and not getting nowhere. Frank had so many question thought

I never expected it to be like this. So desolate and hopelessly alone. The stinging smell of bleach and the metallic taste in my mouth leaves my mind numb. I glance to the clock, and I am pained to see that only two minutes have passed since I last checked. He should be here by now, but I am not surprised that he isn’t, punctuality has never been one of his strong suits, although I had hoped he would understand the importance of this moment. Frank was a good man, I didn’t doubt that, but he did have his own way of dealing with…

The first point I noticed in this movie was that when the Mexicans first disappeared people seemed to be happy and excited that they were finally gone for good, or at least that’s how it was originally supposed to be, and at the same moment of the disappearance, a mysterious fog rose up around the state of California.…

To know that he was capable of moving and getting through all the setbacks that arise makes me feel like I’m capable of enduring any challenges in life. For him to constantly get rejected even by his family shows how strong of an individual he is. It seem like he went through everything that you could go through to create a successful movement from the strikes to the grape boycott to the fast that he endured for 25 days. For someone with the health that he already have last 25 days without food really shows what someone is capable of doing when there mind is set on the goal. The film overall taught me a lot about the Mexican culture and the things that they went through throughout their history in California. I now have a different perspective on farm workers and what it takes to be able survive such horrific circumstances. The presentation made me feel as if I don’t know as much as I should know about history for every race and class throughout our history. This occurred not that long ago and is still an issue in the United States today. We see numerous people working for starvation wages that cannot improve the circumstance that their almost stuck in. It inspired make a change within the area that live and make sure everyone has their rights to the basic necessities of life. It also offended me that we as a nation could treat a group…

The only problem was that they got fired from every job they worked for because Lenny would always get into trouble. For example they got chased out of Weed because Lenny was accused of trying to rape a lady but he wasn’t trying to rape her, he was just touching her lavishly exquisite dress because it was soft and Lenny liked soft things. So when they yelled at him he froze up and grabbed on her dress and wouldn’t let it go. So when they finally got a job working the fields in Soledad they had a plan. They’re plan was to save their money for a house they went to go see. Even though George told Lenny not to tell anyone he tells Candy and when George found out her became very angry with Lenny. When George, Lenny, and Candy combined all of their money together they realized that they almost had enough for the house. They were exuberant because they were that much closer to having their own wealth to live off of. This shows that even though they were migrant workers not making a lot of money, working together they helped each other get hope for them to one day own something they can call their…

Similarly, Arturo and Alma refuse to give up on the idea that Maribel can recover from her brain injury, even though America does everything in its power to change their minds with things such as difficult job conditions and Garrett. The circumstances that Richard Rodriguez dealt with all circled around the fact that his parents were not natives of the United States and everything that follows this. Richard Rodriguez came from a family where his parents had been born and raised in Mexico. After moving from there, they settled in America, and gave birth to him and his siblings. Being from a different culture causes a definite strain on the family trying to keep their culture while being immersed in another that's so different. This is an experience that I struggled with as well, because my parents were not born in this country and have a real distrust of it at times, so I could completely relate to the words within the narrative.…

After watching the 30 Days Immigration, I would define it as a good reality show. Why I say that? It is because the videos were addressing the social issue—immigration just at a right point. The man who lived in the immigrant’s house was really surprised me since he was acting completely different from the beginning to the end of the video, either in his attitude or emotion. Recall my memory, he said he won’t let the illegal immigrants to get into the United States, and he insisted that the immigrants shouldn’t stay in America because it is not their place. However, after he went to see what their original life in their hometown was, he was shocked. The living environment was really bad, and people just stayed in the “home” without the roof. Clear water was not very available.…
