3 Day Field Trip Last September 25-27, 2012, we held a 3-day field trip in Baguio, La Union and Ilocos. On the first day we left Batangas at 12am so we can arrive early in Baguio. It’s a 7-hr sleepy trip but we arrived safely. We checked-in at rajah soliman hotel and ate our breakfast there. We went to our designated rooms to put our heavy bags and we back to bus to visit our first company. The first company that we visited is PAGASA Baguio. They are one of the branches of PAGASA. The speaker discussed about how they monitor the weather and how they measure the strength of the rain. They discussed about the gadgets and machines that they are using to gather information such as barometer, anemometer, etc. After we saw and learned about the things that PAGASA Baguio are doing. We went to the 2nd company. The SITEL. SITEL is calling center in Baguio. Their clients are mostly foreigners and journalist in popular newspapers around the world like The New York Times. The speaker only told and discuss us what are the future that awaits you if you apply to their company. He discussed the qualifications that they want for you to work for SITEL. One of the qualifications is that you have to speak fluently in English. Because it is the second general language that we are using. And the clients you are speaking are mostly foreigners so you have to be good in speaking English. After our visit in SITEL we went to Market Pasalubong Shopping to buy Goodies and souvenirs. After that we went to our hotel and rest for tomorrows’ trip. The 3rd company that we visit is the International Broadcasting Bureau in La Union. It is a broadcasting site that is like a server in radio stations. Their facilities are amazing. They discussed on how they play the radio automatically and how they troubleshoot if something bad happens.

Moira’s bad attitude causes Barry to doubt his parenting skills and devours his confidence. Firstly, Barry‘s confusion in raising Moira alone, leads him to seek advice from others. W.D. Valgardson illustrates, “he sought the advice of women at work who had teenage daughters.” (Valgardson 2). The result of Barry’s confusion causes him to seek the advice of his fellow female mother workers. Secondly, when Barry seeks advice from his students, one of which helps. The student speaks, “The caged bird proves nothing but the power of the captor,” (2). The quote used by the girl, represents Barry the bird and Moira the captor and that Moira has more power which is causing Barry to be powerless. Furthermore, Barry’s anxiety makes him believe that Moira will confront him angrily. Moira says, “I’m smoking dope, six joints a day, and sniffing coke and participating in orgies,” (2). Barry causes himself to believe that if confronted Moira will say his worst nightmares, that she is doing drugs. In conclusion, Barry’s anxiety and confusion raising Moira causes him to have false beliefs and seek others advice.…

This letter is concerning our Busch Gardens field trip. Our band and you have worked very hard for this field trip. Some of us have come in early, and others have worked hard at home. Needless to say, we all put in our fair share of the time and effort to help us achieve what we have. We also understand that since you took away our trip we now know that there will be serious consequences to our actions. Another thing is that this trip is very important to us as a band. We all have been looking forward to this trip since we were in sixth grade. When we got the A on the state assessments the first thing we thought about was that we could go into Busch Gardens and truly enjoy ourselves, knowing that we earned it. We never would have been able…

I had no clue how many government agencies there are. When I went on usa.gov to find a government agency to pick, there were hundreds of different ones. I found several of them interesting but I had to pick one. It was hard narrowing down to one from such a huge selection but the agency I picked was the U.S department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This agency provides public programs through their administrated programs. One of the program in which they oversee is the Federal Housing Administration. Their mission is to contribute and obtain healthy neighborhoods and communities, maintain and expand home ownership, rental housing, and healthcare opportunities along with many more. They value their customers, staff, and partners. The office of housing has four business areas. They have single family housing, multifamily housing, healthcare programs, and regulatory programs. I find the single family housing option the most interesting. It is a program that includes mortgage insurance on loans to purchase new homes, condos, manufactured housing, houses needing rehab, and reverse mortgage for the elderly home owners. Their multifamily program gives out mortgage insurance to approved lenders to facilitate construction, substantial rehab, and to purchase and refinance housing projects. Healthcare programs provide mortgage insurance on loans that finance the construction, renovation, or refinancing health care facilities such as insurance, hospitals, and residential care facilities. Another program is the regulatory program which is made to assist home owners, home buyers, and regular real estate transactions.…

Since, my English was not good at that point, I felt nervous when the customer called on me. So, I doubled my effort on learning English and learning how to improve my skills in working at the restaurant. Furthermore, my English had improved after the working experience. At first, I do not like to communicate with people because of my lack of English. But, the job required me to communicate with the customers, so I had to work harder on learning the English in order to understand what the customer…

As we got to dumaguete, we have to stop by at our grandma's house to tell her of our trip. She was excited for us and made us promise to bring her pasalubongs. We said our hasty goodbyes and head out to the port where we would board a fastcraft to take us to tagbilaran city, bohol's capital city. The weather seemed to be fine but the waves were less accomodating in making our trip pleasant. But it didnt detter our determination to cross it, although boarding it felt like riding on at least an hour of ferris wheel, we all felt nauseous. But at last we reached tagbilaran city with dizzy heads. Since it was already night time when we got there, we checked into the hotel immediately to rest. As morning came, so did the time to explore bohol.…

It used to be that February was Baguio City’s least favorable month, experiencing a doldrum in the number of visitor arrivals that usually peak in December (for the holiday season) and March or April (for the Lenten Season), on top of the summer months. However, with the introduction of the Panagbenga Festival, February became a time of pageantry, fun and merrymaking in Baguio City as the city becomes covered with the most beautiful flowers in the region.…
