ICT provides many services for society, with there being seven major factors. The first is having fast, repetitive processing. ICT systems such as spreadsheets can perform repetitive calculations quickly with ease, which is a real benefit to anyone looking to use spreadsheets to work things out in everyday life such as costs or business owners calculating stock levels. Businesses also take advantage of fast, repetitive processing when having financial management, these fast calculations allow users to keep on top of their work. 3D rendering is also a popular outcome of fast, repetitive processing as it represents advancing technology by taking graphics to a new level. A lot of famous animations have emerged from the latest 3D rendering, proving it to be essential on a worldwide platform. Another thing ICT can provide is a vast storage capacity. Another form of storage is digital storage. The cloud is the most popular form of digital storage, and allows users to save and send data online. This is a helpful thing for
ICT to provide as it makes life easier for the users, as there is nothing to carry or potentially lose, as well as the data being available to access from anywhere. However, accounts could be hacked which could result in data being exploited. Everything is taking up less and less storage space in today’s society. The amount of storage space to be required for the average download is at its lowest ever, so data can be saved faster as well as more data being able to be saved. Improved search facilities are also around
