Project overview
You are a college student currently enrolled in an introductory business class. Your assignment is to prepare a short research paper (275–300 words) about video or computer games. The requirements are that the paper be presented according to the MLA documentation style and have three references. One of the three references must be from the Web. You prepare a paper that discusses game controllers.

STUDENT start FILE
SC_Word2010_C2_L1a_FirstLastName_1.docx (Note: Download your personalized start file from www.cengage.com/sam2010) Instructions
Open the file SC_Word2010_C2_L1a_FirstLastName_1.docx and save the file as SC_Word2010_C2_L1a_FirstLastName_2.docx before you move to the next step. Verify that your name appears in the footer at the bottom of the document. If it does not, please download a new copy of the start file from the SAM Web site. (Note: Do not edit the footer at the bottom of the document.) Modify the Normal style to 12-point Times New Roman font. (Hint: Remember that just changing the font in the document will not modify the Normal style.) Adjust line spacing to double. When your research paper is complete, the entire paper should be double-spaced. Remove space below (after) paragraphs. When your research paper is complete, the entire paper should have 0 pt spacing below (after) paragraphs. Create a right-aligned header that includes the name Kimble followed by a space, and then the page number. (Hint: Use the Current Position command on the Insert Page Number menu to add a Plain Number page number from the Current Position gallery.) Begin the research paper by typing the name Harley Kimble, the instructor Ms. Longherst, the course information English 101, the date April 30, 2012, and the title From One Controller to Another, each on a new line as shown in Figure 1. Center the title as shown in Figure 1. FIGURE 1Name, course information, date, and title text

At the beginning of a new, left-aligned line, set the First Line Indent marker to the 0.5” mark. When your research paper is complete, the body paragraphs of the research paper should all have a first-line indent of 0.5”.

Type the first body paragraph of the research paper by entering the text shown in Figure 2. FIGURE 2Text to enter for first body paragraph

Change the bibliography style to MLA Sixth Edition. At the end of the second sentence in the first body paragraph, after the phrase “motion-sensing game controllers” (and before the period), type a space, and then insert a citation to the Joyce bibliographical source shown in Figure 3. FIGURE 3Joyce bibliographical source

Type the second body paragraph of the research paper by entering the text shown in Figure 4. FIGURE 4Text to enter for second body paragraph

At the end of the third sentence in the second body paragraph, after the phrase “during game play” (and before the period), type a space, and then insert a citation to the Cortez bibliographical source shown in Figure 5. FIGURE 5Cortez bibliographical source

Edit the Cortez citation in the second body paragraph to display pages 20-24 at the end of the citation. Do not insert a space before or after the hyphen in the page number...

Bibliography: gallery to insert the list of sources. Convert the bibliography field to regular text (Hint: Use CTRL+SHIFT+F9).
Change the line spacing for the bibliography sources to double. Change the format of the source titles from underline to italics (to update the MLA Sixth Edition style to match the latest guidelines for MLA Seventh Edition documentation). Enter the media type Print at the end of the Bloom and Cortez sources, and enter the media type Web to the Joyce source before the “28 Mar” date (again to match the new MLA documentation style). Your bibliography should look like Figure 10.
