If I had to come up with an ad that represents the “Seven ages of man,” I would use an ad in a home magazine to sell my product, a household cleaner. The ad would depict the ages from Shakespeare's scene, but in a more modern light. For instance, the first stage is the infant, in my ad the infant would be depicted puking on the ground. The mother would then have to clean it up using the household cleaner. In the next picture, my ad would depict the second age of man, who is the whining school boy. The modern version would be a boy at school drawing all over his desk with markers. His teacher would walk over and hand him the cleaner bottle and a rag to wipe up his desk. As the boy is wiping up his desk, he can be seen obviously annoyed that he has to do so. Next, in the third picture would be the modern lover, he would be shown trying to paint a portrait of the girl he loves, but in doing so accidentally spills paint all over the floor then, having to use my cleaner to wipe it up. After that, would come the fourth age of man who is the modern soldier he would be portrayed as being super macho and tough, but when his superior comes to check to see if his room is tidy he becomes scared since his room is messy. His friend would then hand him a bottle of my cleaner and he would relax. In the fifth depiction, the modern version of justice would be seen just tidying up his house as a sign he is responsible and values a clean house. Second to last would be modern version of the sixth age, he would be depicted cleaning up his grandchildren’s messes using the cleaner. Then finally, in the last picture I would show the modern version of the seventh stage, the man would be standing with his cane in an empty house when his daughter comes up and asks if he's ready to go to his new retirement home. He replies, yes and as he's leaving the house he sees the cleaner on the ground and picks it up as he walks out the door. My ad can be compared to the

    2. The novel takes place, as its title suggests, in two cities: London and Paris. What are some of the differences between these two cities? Between their denizens? What about characters who travel—or move residence—from one to another? How are the cities themselves divided in two? In the first chapter of Tale of Two Cities Dickens states that “There was a king with a large jaw and a queen with a plain face on the throne of England; there was a king with a large jaw and a queen with a fair face on the throne of France” which is starting the book off with comparisons between England and France. Dickens portrays London as a more safe city then Paris, the trials are less cruel, and there are not heads rolling from the guillotine. Paris, on the other hand is more violent, and uses the guillotine to kill there queen. London is more of a “safe haven” and Paris is more of a hell-hole. During the last half of Tale of Two Cities it shows that France has made many new laws about emigrants, and hardly anyone is safe. They kill traitors, innocent, and pretty much everyone who they can prove guilty in court. England, on the other hand does not have any laws about emigrants being traitors, and do not have killing sprees of everyone in prisons.…
