1.14 Final Draft
On one particular morning, I was eating breakfast with my mother, Ceres, as usual. I was feeling adventurous that day so I asked my mother whether or not I could go out to the forest. Reluctantly, she said yes, but she told me to be careful. I went on my way and trekked out into the forest. The forest was dark and mysterious and it looked as though people rarely journeyed through here. While In the forest, I came across a young man and thus; that’s where the story begins.
“Hello” said the young man. This man seemed to be very kind and considerate. “I’m Pluto; the king of the forest. May I ask you what your name is?” “P-Proserpina” I replied hesitantly. “Well then Proserpina, would you consider accompanying me to my castle?” I thought about his request for a moment. My mother did tell me to be careful and the fact that a complete stranger is asking me to go to his castle with is does seem questionable, but he seems like a nice man so I didn’t think the situation would turn sour. To him I said “I would love to accompany you to your castle. I just hope to be back sometime this evening.” “That won’t be an issue” said Pluto.
It was when I hopped onto his carriage when I started to feel unsure about the situation. I was encompassed with a sense of anxiety as we traveled among the uneven, dirt forest. As we grew closer to reaching the castle, the forest was becoming more and more darker, and I heard a lot of strange noises. When we reached the castle, an uneasy feeling came upon me as the ambiance of the area was that of loneliness and despair. I saw that Pluto’s demeanor changed drastically throughout the trip to the castle as he seemed to be more stoic and unpersonable; unlike the guy I met in the forest. Pluto whispered something to one of the guards and before I knew it; I was grabbed by the arm and whisked away to a dark room. This room consisted of only a window, a bed, and a bed stand.
