CFC - YOUTH FOR CHRIST
University of the Philippines – Cebu College
Campus – Based Program
Established 19xx A.Y. 2012-2013 January 26, 2013 CFC Youth for Christ (YFC) is the youth arm of Couples for Christ (CFC) Global Mission Foundation, a Catholic Charismatic lay movement officially recognized by the Vatican. Since its official launch in 1994, YFC has spread to already 68 provinces in the Philippines and over 60 countries worldwide.
Our objective is to evangelize the youth of today and bring them back to the Lord and the service of His Church. We believe that there is a strong need for evangelization of the youth. We realize that YFC can be of help in this work of youth evangelization, as well as serve as a support group for the students while working hand in hand with the school and the Church. Aside from this, YFC also provides opportunities for your students to be involved with nation-building through CFC’s Work With The Poor Programs. We believe that faith and patriotism go hand in hand, and would like to help your students play out their role in building our nation and renewing the land. Other activities include Youth Camps, Talks, Praisefests / Concerts and Households (small peer-support groupings). These activities will help in the growth of the faith of YFC members, leaders and their friends.

At the beginning of the course, Dr. Higley provided the following quote, “Vision is a picture of the future that stirs passion in you (and those you lead).” This motto has remind in the mind of the student throughout the course. Beginning in week one and continuing, the students made an attempt to better understand biblical mission and the four current church structures. This paper will explain biblical foundations for ministry and provide an evaluation for the four current church structures. The student will then create a strategic plan for implementing an effective church structure for developing disciples. This book gives us guidance on how our vision should be shaped, carried out, and observed by others. For us to be successful in our mission we have to share our vision that hopefully God has given us. We see in chapter 5 how we need a vision that is Christ centered and not just community centered, then in chapter 2 we see how important it is to share our vision so it can be carried out and made greater by the power of the Lord than we ever imagined. I never realized how important it is to go into a mission with a specific vision in mind. We need on our minds focused on what we can establish so the gospel of Jesus Christ can spread where we are ministering. I love how in chapter 2 the author brings out how our visions should be focused on the Kingdom. I believe it is important to make sure that the vision we are carrying and telling is in line with God’s Word and direction, along with it being Jesus centered. We see throughout the book how important it is for Jesus to be the center of our vision so we can impact people both spiritually and the ways that we are trying to help them. I love how in chapter 5 Lingenfelter stressed how we should not just serve their physical needs, for if we do this we are just like any other secular business that could come in. As Christians, we should with everything we do promote and…

This mission reminds us that for the Kingdom of God to continue to break in, individual lives need to be changed, while being motivated and equipped for transformation. Our Book of Discipline offers this cue: “God has used our church to save persons, heal relationships, transform social structures, and spread scriptural holiness, thereby changing the world.” When we change lives and introduce people to the all-loving nature of God, we indeed transform the world. When making disciples, the Church welcomes people into community, educates them on God’s call for Christians, and equips them toward using their spiritual gifts to serve as change agents playing a role in bringing about the Kingdom of…

My perspectives of life and morality will allow me to contribute to Liberty University’s missions in a number of ways. I see my purpose in life as merely a chance to change lives and to obey the calling that God places on my heart. I believe it is my jobs as a child of God to be the hands and feet of Christ no matter where that takes me. As a pastor’s daughter, I have been taught the perspectives of life and morality and how they reflect the way I live my life. I keep my perceptions of life and morality positive so I am assured my light for Christ is never mistaken or never overlooked. These perspectives will allow me to contribute a lot towards Liberty University’s missions and will allow God to use me for the advantage of His glory.…

As Christians we have a message of hope. We are taught in Proverbs 13:12, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”1 We know that hope as Jesus Christ, the Messiah who came to save us. As the most commonly known scripture of our world tells us, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”2 However, many people in our world today still do not know Him as Savior and Lord of their life. As Christians our mission, as was the mission of Christ is to lead others to a saving knowledge of Himself. God uses us as His children to help fulfill the mission of calling everyone unto Himself. This paper will develop a theology of missions by looking at the Old and New…

God’s word always needs to be shared with everyone but more especially to the youth. God has always been a huge part of my everyday life. Finding a place where I would be able to share this joy was a priority I had. Camp Skyline was undeniably the place for that. Each night we would sit around a campfire just to hear the songs of the praises to God’s word. Voices as sweet and soft as honey would travel through the mountain air as if a bee on a summer day. Beneath that sound would be the faint crackling of the fire that blazed before us and faintly gave light to each face. On Sundays we had “Skyline Church.” Everyone was to wear pure white on this day. Upon entering church I would see girls of all ages running around in white dresses that were catered to fit each of the hundreds of girls. During those next few hours praises would be lifted and hearts would be led to God as if a lost child in…

Discipleship is extremely important to me because I want to be someone who embraces and assists in spreading God’s teaching to others, to help empower people to know, deeply and wholeheartedly, their God given gifts; to help them know that God has created them in His image that He has a plan for their life. I will combine with Liberty’s mission and my personal faith and beliefs to contribute a well thought out plan to enable each student to reach their goal in serving Christ and worshipping.…
