Tourism in Singapore
Hi, my name is Jayvin and I’m from Malaysia. As a foreigner, I think that Singapore, an island country which made up of 63 islands is a clean and quiet place to visit. Although Singapore is a small country but there’s a lot of fun and interesting places such as Universal Studio Singapore, Garden by the Bay, Night Safari, Singapore Flyer and so on that we can pay a visit to.
Well, I’ll talk about the 150-year old Singapore Botanic Gardens which is well known as a star visitor attraction for the sophisticated traveler as well as the local resident. The Garden possesses an array of botanical and horticultural attractions with a rich history and a wonderful plant collection of worldwide significance. Complementing these unique resources are sensitive developments providing visitors educational and recreational facilities
Let’s move on to S.E.A Aquarium which is the world’s largest aquarium located in Sentosa. Step into S.E.A. Aquarium and immerse yourself in a magical marine world seen through our planet’s largest window to the ocean with more than 800 species of marine animals. Come face-to-face with over 200 sharks and uncover the centuries of myths about these ocean predators.
At night, we can drop by in Wonder Full which is the largest light and water show in Southeast Asia. It is an amazing convergence of light, music and sound. For 13 electric minutes, Singapore's city skyline will feel like your own private viewing backdrop. You won't want to miss out on this exciting, free showcase of stunning visual effects with interweaving lasers, video projectors and giant streaming water screens. I had been there on my birthday last week and it’s awesome.
I have been in Singapore for holiday during my school break for the past 8 years and I actually haven’t get to visit all the interesting places as there are too many of them. I could not deny that the places I had visited are really fun and I fully enjoyed myself with my friends and family here. And yes, I hope I can

Singapore is a wealthy island country, located in Southeast Asia on the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Founded as a British trading colony in 1819, Singapore has become one of the most prosperous countries due to its strong international trading links. The inhabitants of Singapore enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the world, with per capita GDP equal to that of the leading countries in Western Europe. (Singapore Profile, Overview). Economic prosperity in Singapore is largely due to its highly developed and successful free-market economy, a remarkably open and corruption-free business environment, stable prices, and a per capita GDP that is higher than most developed countries. The economy depends heavily on exports, and the country is home to one of the busiest ports in the world (The World FactBook, Economy).…

Clarke Quay is well-known as an entertainment site, yet it is also rich in history, dating back to as early as the 19th century. It was founded by Sir Stamford Raffles who made Clarke Quay into a centre of trade where coolies could be found loading and unloading a plethora of produce and shipments. (Michelle Lee, 2009) It was an ordinary landscape back then, where people lived and worked. However, in 1977-1978, the waters of Singapore River was found to be polluted so badly, by the trading activities and people living there, that the government had to have a massive clean-up of the river to raise the hygiene level of the waters and its surroundings. (Singapore VR, 2008) Major changes have been made through the redevelopment of Clarke Quay, giving us the present-day Clarke Quay, a centre of entertainment and leisure (Wee, 2009).…
