Sustainable energy
What do we mean by sustainable energy? Sustainable energy is about using energy wisely and using energy generated from clean sources and clean technologies. Wise energy use is the first step to ensuring we have sustainable energy for present and future generations. Being efficient with our energy will reduce our household and business energy bills, reduce the amount of energy we need to produce in the first place and cut energy related greenhouse pollution. So sustainable energy is not just about using renewable energy, perhaps its not even about renewable energy as we explain further below, its about using energy wisely and introducing energy efficiency measures. Energylinx will hopefully help you with both of these aspects of sustainable energy. First, we can help you find the best energy supplier for your home and secondly by looking at our energy efficiency section we can help you find out all the tips for making your home more energy efficient. Energylinx hopes to promote the use of sustainable energy and provides its services completely free of charge to the domestic consumer. To really understand sustainable energy we should consider:Energy resources are available to supply mankind's expanding needs without environmental detriment.
Wastes remain a major concern whether they are released to the environment or not.
Ethical principles seem increasingly likely to dominate energy policy in many countries, which augurs well for nuclear energy.
"When viewed from a large set of criteria, nuclear power shows a unique potential as a large scale sustainable energy source." OECD 2001
"The competitive position of nuclear energy is robust from a sustainable development perspective since most health and environmental costs are already internalised." OECD 2001
Until the last ten or twenty years sustainable energy was thought of simply in terms of availability relative to the rate of use. Today, in the context of the ethical framework of

Energy is an important part of our everyday lives. Energy can come in many different types, and forms it can be used for many different purposes. Energy has many different usages and can be converted from one form of usage to another form of usage depending on what the need is. One form of energy conversion is the use of food to supply people's bodies with energy. Another form of energy is how coal is converted into electricity. Fuel is another form of energy that can be used for many different usages as well. Fuel is used for much different reason such as allowing our cars to function and our lawnmowers to cut grass. There are many different reasons why people use energy in the many different ways that we use it. Even though people rely on energy usage, some of the forms of energy we use are very harmful to the environment and even dangerous to ourselves. The harmful and dangerous fuels that we use can be changed to alternative methods of energy usage. There are two different types of alternative energy, which is known as renewable energy. Renewable energy is very resourceful and is able to be used because it is all around us there will not be a shortage of material and it is safer on every living thing and being. Energy and fuel usage just like everything else in the world has its advantages and disadvantages about using it. We must collectivity figure out which source of energy is right for everyone but for now we will find out which is best to use in your…

Energy has easily become one of the most important necessities for our everyday lives. Without it we would simply not be able to have transportation or be able to gather any of our other resources that we depend on. If at anytime our energy supply ceases or no longer attainable the results may be horrific. However, it is quite easy to keep this from happening, It is crucial that our current population realize the importance of sustaining our present non-renewable resources. An examination of all the present energy issues and human impacts of energy conservation along with the a resource plan will show importance of energy sustainability how it must be a success.…

From the moment we wake up in the morning until the time we go to bed each night, we all use different forms of energy to perform our daily activities. On a daily basis I use energy for transportation to commute to and from work and run errands; for cooking meals using either my gas range, microwave or charcoal grill; for heating my home in the winter and cooling my home in the summer; for daily showering, and for lighting my home in order to be comfortable and productive. Most of the resources we rely on for energy are nonrenewable and will soon be depleted.…

As a society grows and develops, there are many issues the people must face during the process. One of the most important problems modern civilizations must solve is where and how they get their energy. In our day and age, we rely heavily on fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, and oil. Patrick Moore, a writer for the Washington Post, composes an argument for nuclear power and recommends that it should be the future for all things energy. Moore’s argument is a convincing article that would most likely pull many neutral readers to see his side very clearly. The article gives all the pros to the uses of nuclear energy, and does an excellent job of addressing all possible counter-arguments.…

Many people around the world ask themselves what are the disadvantages of adopting an alternative solution to solve the consumption of global nuclear energy? Based on what we have experienced through events with major disasters and the aftermath of many casualties, it has summed up to result in having failures outgrowing expectations. Therefore, global nuclear power usage is to be opposed due to the fact that it comes with high financial costs, nuclear waste management complications, and the fact that thousands in populations are mass numbers of casualties.…

There are many ways to conserve natural resources, all we need to do is look around and find a way to minimize the usage of natural resource that we using everyday. For example, turn off the lights when we leave the house; minimize the waste produced by buying less packaged goods and reusable products, and recycling. These are little things we can do to help, and these does not take much effort to do; however, if everybody does the same, we can still make that difference. In the big picture, we can consider using more renewable natural resources such as hydro-power and solar-power. These energy resources are the best ways to conserve natural resource such as fossil fuel. Fortunately, many energy conservative products have been invented: hybrid or electric cars and energy-efficient home appliances. These are the reflections of people’s concern towards the natural resources depletion. On the whole, we need to start do our share to conserve the energy and resource as part of our responsibility to the natural…

Energy comes from the earth. In order to make the necessary forms of energy for use, we must use the earth’s resources. Unfortunately, the earth’s resources that are being used to make energy cannot be replaced forcing us to conserve energy. Conserving energy can be achieved through energy efficiency. First we must define to conserve and energy efficiency. To conserve energy means to save as much as possible. Energy efficiency means to use our resources wisely and productively. So to save energy we must use the earth’s resources wisely and productively. Moreover there are several reasons why conserving energy is important. For instance, conserving energy leads to taking responsibility for the current and future state of the ecosystem, and humankind. If no responsibility is taken and energy is not used efficiently the ecosystem would be destroyed, food and energy supplies would run low, along with capital goods. Eventually this could lead to competition for resources, which would then lead to war among nations. Conserving energy is important for a healthier environment, economy and energy protection.…

People need energy all the time. Not only electricity is in great demand to make houses and other building operate but we need fossil fuels to use wide range of transportation. According to estimates, unrenewable sources will run out in the forseeable future. Scientists predict that we will be able to exploit coal for about two hundred and twenty years, natural gas about sixty years and oil will run out in forty years1. They also suggest the shift from fossil-fuel-consuming civilization towards the green global community who will create a symbiotic relation with nature. In practice, this means seeking alternative sources of energy that come from gifts of nature. And when you analyse the latest European Union law regulation about increasing usage of alternative energy 2, or read about newest scientific experiments with hydrogen cars and energy-efficient houses you will be convined the proccess of becoming green has already begun. Although there are some fears and doubts in this new social movement, the benefits far outweigh and give a new chance for mankind not to act against but coexist with the beauty of nature.…
