The Reconquista of Spain was a war that lasted for about ten years (1482-1492 C.E). This war was mainly fought with cannons, now a common sight, if made with bronze from the northern Vikings or later, a higher quality material from Spanish silver. This battle was based on the Muslims and Christians fighting over political and religious power, as the Ottomans consolidated their power in the Balkan states, and would cause problems to the other Iberian ships that were crucial to military and trade pursuits. The embassy of Granada (who were mainly Muslims) sent a group to make a threat to the Christians so they could keep practicing their faith, and surprise, it worked, but only for a while. Most of the Jewish populace left to strengthen craft…

Also, the intensive media coverage of the Abu Sayaff kidnappings and the MILF and MNLF movements made me think that the Muslims of Mindanao had nothing good to do for the Philippines. I started to think of them as ruthless human beings with the souls of demons who had the audacity to destroy lives and disturb the harmony among peaceful human beings. I had always viewed them as terrorists and murderers who would do anything just to make their cause seen by the government.…
