Communication can be a verbal or non-verbal, an interchange of thought or idea and any interaction is communication. 2. What are three generally accepted elements of definitions of communication presented in class? Define and provide examples of each element.

3) Symbolic – relationship between signs (arbitrary)
3. What potential element of definitions of communication continues to be discussed and disagreed about? What are the disagreements? Interaction and outcome of an interaction - If an interaction takes place there doesn’t have to have been communication
4. Why are there so many definitions of communication? Is this state of affairs a problem for the discipline? Because one completely functional definition that all kinds of scientist and researchers can’t be found.
