Learning Outcomes
• Identify & discuss legislation (laws) & regulation (rules) that govern nursing.
• Discuss the role of the CNO in relation to the role of the PN.
• Demonstrate how to navigate the College of Nurses of
Ontario (CNO) website to find standards, guidelines, etc.
• Discuss the requirement in Ontario for nurses to “Selfregulate”.
• Discuss the significance of RHPA & Controlled Acts & how it applies to the role of the RPN.

• Explore & explain the CNO standards & scope of practice for nurses in Ontario - The Professional Standards Revised
2002, & the relationship to Entry to Practice Competencies for Ontario RPN’s.
• Discuss the difference between RPNs & RNs scope of practice. • Discuss the guiding principles behind the Professional
Standards Revised 2002, & how they relate to the Practical
Nurse competencies.
• Explore & discuss the use of social media as a professional,
& its relationship to Professional Standards
• Write a personal reflection about social media utilizing the
LEARN framework

This is also helpful in identifying their weaknesses and improving on them. Polish Fine Foods needs to use ratio analysis because it is a valuable tool for the business’s management to determine the performance of a business and to control the cost measures when necessary. Also, ratio analysis helps them monitor and identify issues that can be highlighted and resolved. However, ratio analysis doesn’t take into account external factors such as a worldwide recession.…
