At Buffalo Wild Wings the service is usually very poor. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly, but friendless does not get a person’s glass refilled or food to the table faster. Instead of the waiter coming to the table to ask if anything else is needed, the customers are more likely to find themselves asking the waiter the questions. Even though some of the poor service has to do with the restaurant always being busy, one would think they would come up with ways to fix this problem. Hiring a bigger staff could easily solve this. If a person is going to Buffalo Wild Wings and is expecting their food to arrive at their table quick, then they have chosen the wrong place to…

Every time I go to this diner the service is the first thing I notice. Normally after walking through the door and finding a seat, a server is with us in just a minute or two. The server is right there for us, if we need anything. We find that the staff is fun to be around and they treat us like we are friends or family, joking, laughing, and having a good fun time. Since they are open throughout the night there can be some issues that arise because of crowds from the bars and clubs. Sometimes it can be a loud place and if there are a lot of people then we may have to wait for service because there is only one server. The crowds from the bars and clubs can get unruly at times and cause problems with other customers but the staff tries to keep it a calm and fun place.…

A survey conducted 1,003 people about common issues with restaurants. 51% of the people responded with slow service as their pet peeve (Hunt). Imagine waiting and waiting for more than 40 minutes for your burger. It is a ridiculous matter. Luckily, Chipotle has excellent time management. In fact, according to Forbes, Chipotle came in on being top four of the fastest food servers in America (Tice). If there is no line to pick up the order, the whole procedure can go about three minutes max. If you do not have three minutes, Chipotle has an app that allows you to order and pay online. All that is left to do after that is just to pick up the meal. The faster the people get their food, the happier they’ll…

When I went to Big Bowl- an authentic Chinese and Thai restaurant- with my mom, one of the first things I noticed was that they had great service. Right when we walked in, a lady came up to us and seated us. Right after, they gave us menus and asked us what drinks we wanted. They waiter was a very nice and patient gentleman. We ordered quite fast, and our food came even faster! The cooks at Big Bowl were even kind enough to have my mom's source on her stir fry be more mild than spicy, just as my mom asked. I have been to tons of restaurants in my lifetime, many of them having very crabby waiters or very…

Service is a very popular element in a casual dining restaurant. During my experience, the service turned out to be pretty good. If I had to give it a number between one being terrible and ten being terrific, I would give it an eight. When I visited Hickory Park, I was with my high school speech group, which had about 15 people in it. That weekend, like usual, Ames was hosting the large group all-state speech festival. This draws in a ton of people to Ames. Hickory Park is where everyone wants to eat; and I mean everyone! So like I expected, we had to wait outside for about 30 minutes because the restaurant was full. I know that there is not much they can do about the restaurant being full. That is just something people who visit during busy times have to deal with. One way to avoid people standing outside would be to make a bigger waiting…

When I first started to work as a waiter, unexplainable excitement ran through my whole body but with time, the job I was so eager to work at, started to dim down and became a bother. When being a waiter it can always go two ways, either people notice your hard working or they don’t care and take advantage of the situation instead. For example in the poem in line 12 it says, “They don’t see me. I bring them cups,” to which I share the mutual thoughts to because when I use to be a waiter, I would go and bring my customers…

Ever wonder why it seems as if the associates are more aware of the elderly and the families there than you and your friends? Tipping Speech

No matter how different people may be there is one thing everyone in this room, and everyone and the world has in common. Food. We all eat it, we all love it and I don’t know about you guys but mealtime is easily one of my favorite parts of the day. But how often do we think about the people who serve us our food? Servers in Texas are only paid $2.13 an hour before tips and according to the Wall Street Journal and even with tips many servers end up making below minimum wage. I’m credible on this topic because I’ve worked in several restaurants and I’ve seen how many people almost completely rely on tips as their source of income. Tipping is relevant to you guys because everyone here has eaten in a restaurant and because most likely some of you guys have also had the pleasure of working in a restaurant. There are two solutions I propose to this problem, one everyone could make an effort to give their servers a good tip of around 20% if they receive good service, and also Texas could increase the amount that waiters and waitresses get paid per hour.…

In the traditional model, like Mc Donald’s, customers enter the restaurant, study the menu panels for a short period, and stand in the shortest line (behind the many counters). When the customer reaches the front of the line, he or she places an order, pays at the register, and collects the food within few minutes. When, a customer requests a nonstandard item, for example a burger with no tomatoes or extra bacon and cheese, the order is not available in the prestocked food area. The counterperson calls the order in to the production area. The item is then prepared to order as a priority. The waiting time is a bit…
