It also aims to teach how to develop explanations and choose the appropriate technologies to address that audience. Topics taught in this course are listed in its course description as including context, purpose, audience, style organization, format results, technologies and strategies for persuasion in typical workplace messages. As a dedicated hard working member of the Schuster Law Firm, I see an opportunity to better myself and the team as a whole. Working as the budget assistant for this firm, I did some research on possibilities of how to cut spending on medical funding through incentives. I am preparing a proposal on the research conducted, where I will be able to show how this plan can save the Schuster Law Firm in upwards of $30,000 to $60,000 a year; this course will help me articulate that proposal. This is something that I am passionate about and strongly feel that would be an asset for both me and the team.

I am not only recommending this course for myself, but for all other employees that will benefit from taking this course as well. I believe this course to be a tremendous asset. It will increase our overall efficiency, which will in turn lead to new clients; communication skills

Another lesson in the Essentials of Managerial Communication class discussed the proper ways to begin business writing. It is important to have business writing mapped out and clearly thought out before one even begins writing. A writing map or outline can be used as a guide for a writer so that he or she may effectively include all the necessary information needed within the writing. In my future endeavors as a wife, mother, daughter, student, employee and future business woman, I will take the skills learned from this communications class and apply them in any way possible as these skills are skills that will only push me further down the road to success within my business.…

The information of a memo is important because it tells the audience the reason for writing the memo. Memorandums can have information that does not apply to the message. For instance, Andrew had information about Macy’s winning the test case against the United States right to use LIFO. This information is not necessary because it does not apply to the company. A memo with information overload can cause the audience to lose their attention, and it has the potential of letting the audience know that they have no knowledge of the subject.…

In recent months, the Roanoke office has had complaints from four clients. Customer satisfaction is declining; this is partly due to low morale among the branch’s employees. It has come to my attention that some of the graphic designers and art directors feel that their ideas are not being taken seriously. All the while, employees are work longer hours without proper compensation. We must give our immediate attention to this situation as Roanoke handles some of our biggest clients. We must also be sure the employees we hire are being treated as part of a team.…

Completing this course will allow me to write more creatively. Also, the conclusion of this course will enable me to reach those whose secondary language is English more successfully.
