ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES BY HONDA AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) Brief
Nowadays the problem of global climate change is growing more serious. As a company pursuing for a global mobility business, Honda is striving to be the world's leader in environmental and energy technologies through its product development, production, and other activities. A good example is Honda committed to develop such product with the lowest-in-use CO2 emissions through corporate activities with the lowest possible CO2 emissions. Honda has been implementing the proactive measures since the early days, to solve the environmental challenges. All become strains, in the middle of the 1980's, on the environment as the air pollution first started to grow in 1960’s. Honda continue their on-going efforts, set for themselves clear numerical targets to help preserve the environment and to be company society in relation to CSR through leadership in environmental and energy technologies. The statement:
“As a responsible member of society whose task lies in the preservation of the global environment, the company will make every effort to contribute to human health and the preservation of the global environment in each phase of its corporate activity. Only in this way will we be able to count on a successful future not only for our company, but for the entire world”.

The vision:
“Realizing the joy and freedom of mobility and a sustainable society where people can enjoy life”. In 2010, Honda announced the ultimate goal in the years leading up to 2020, to provide “good products to customers with speed, affordability, and low CO2 emissions.” It is a contribution of Honda to CSR, maintain sustainable growth of society and harmony between people. In general, Honda is continuing to deliver the excitement through their products and services that support personal mobility and a better life. Honda moving to the goal of becoming a company that society wants to exist by sharing joy with the people of the world. Range of corporate activities has been pursued to create new value, expand value, and fulfill commitment to the future. The Honda’s Motto “The Power of Dreams” is a dream that turn into reality. Everyone can share their dreams, and the power of dreams start to grows. At Honda, everyone is encouraged to express and realize their dreams for the collective vision of creating a better and brighter future for our next generation. In other hands, the freedom of associates to seek out a better way, a willingness to rise to the challenges of the future, and a spirit of collaborative creativity "Creating the Joys" means continuing to dream and create new value ahead of the times with free-spirited. By pursuing these directions in the activities, Honda is fulfilling their social responsibility, and communicating effectively with the stakeholders, customers, dealers, suppliers, associates, shareholders, investors, and local communities, bringing them into a sustainable society.

Globally
Honda philosophy is to building products close to the customer. By that reasons, Honda has manufacturing operations in 6 regions worldwide. In 2012, Honda delivered 24 million products to its customers around the world. In 2006, Honda announced global CO2 emissions reduction targets for 2010, the first announcement of its type by a company in the automobile industry.
