Dressing for success!

Opinions differ when it comes to the issue of whether students or workers should wear a specific types of clothing at school or at work. On one hand, some people push that clothing is worn to be comfortable. On the other hand, others believe that it is very important to wear a specific kind of clothing according to the occasions. Students or workers should wear specific clothing to look more professional. The first argument is that clothing prevents us from getting hurt or into danger. There are a lot of examples in our daily life. For an example, one would be that students must wear laboratory uniforms when they take chemical classes, in case of getting toxic chemicals on them. Another example is that workers have to wear protective clothing and eye protection to avoid mechanical malfunctions. There is no better way than this, than being the right example, the necessity of wearing specific clothing at school or at work. Also there is another reason why wearing certain type of clothing is more suitable. For an example Bill Clinton says “School uniforms are one step that may help break the cycle of violence, truancy and disorder by helping young students understand what really counts is what kind of people they are.”. I’m surprised that senior high schools don't ask the students to wear uniforms. They might spend more time on deciding why they get dressed up to school and pay less attention to studying which is students' ethics.

Although wearing fancy clothing has great advantages, only can it be somewhat true because it lowers order of organizations. Customers usually recognize waiters or attendants according to the uniforms in a restaurant. For an example, Lisa McQuerrey says “Employees who all dress alike are easily identified as employees in a business. This makes it easier for customers to seek out employees when they are looking for assistance, which leads to increased profits for the company and

Many people say that different types of clothing feel comfortable to different people. Some children are more comfortable in a specific material or style of clothing. Uniforms reduce ones ability to choose clothing that fits individual comfort needs. Experts believe that children need to feel comfortable in order to maximize learning, and that uniforms can therefore prevent academic success. Another problem would be if the school was required to wear ties. Wearing a tie would put an enormous damper on childrens ability to pay attention. Most students would spend a majority of their time situating and loosening their tie to the desired fitting. The sad part is that by the time it feels comfortable it is against the dress code and they find themselves in trouble.…

None of the schools I have attended had a uniform requirement and many students dressed in ways I found inappropriate. The private school I attended had a strict dress code but public school teachers often overlook the violation of dress code. In fact, I always prefer to look different and I have more than enough clothing to express my unique style. I do, however, have friends that always feel under pressure to wear the right clothing and often borrow clothes from me. It is reasons such as these why all schools should require uniforms. School uniforms may be the prominent aspect of our society’s road to success in educating its…

Here are two reasons why it is good to let workers wear what they want. Comfort, I see it as a worker who is comfortable will work more effectively. The second is that people get to dress a way that makes them feel unique and gives them more respect for who they are. Now what some people find comfortable and their way to dress may not positively impact the whole, so if that certain individual has to deal with customers or meet in meetings they should dress to positively impact the company they represent. "Just slapping clothes on kids won't improve a school, but uniforms accompanied by other reforms can make a difference. Uniforms send a message and remind students that they are in school. One element of the message is that when you are going to school, that is your place of work. That is the place where you are working at getting smart." ~Joe Palumbo. Uniforms cause children to be more civilized and mature in what they are doing. It could lead the kids to a greater future and teach them to be more proper. The sooner students get into the habit of wearing uniforms at school, the easier it will be for them to adjust to the working world. Not to mention, everyone at work will be dressed the same, therefore it is important for students to learn early on that clothing does not shape who they are. Rather, that it is there to make them easily identifiable at work. Lastly, uniforms will keep students clean and organised. Wearing uniforms will help develop great transferable skills, which will be needed in adult life. In conclusion, uniforms will teach students at an early age what it is like to be an…

I have three or more points on why I am for school uniforms and why others are against uniforms. When students wear school uniforms, it shows what school they belong. For instance, if there were no uniform policy, anyone could walk into the school building fitting into the crowd with everyone else and the employees of the school would not know who belongs and who doesn’t belong. There could be a stranger waiting in the boys or girls bathroom waiting to harm one of the students. If the schools go with the uniform policy, this will help stop this action from occurring. If…
