CONCEPT DESCRIPTION: This concept deals with burned clients with emphasis on the immediate responses & nursing responsibilities involve. It also focuses on the clinical manifestations and its implications. It has different ways on how to care clients in this situation in order to prevent from further mistakes/negligence of the nurse as well as further injuries to patients. This topic provides the learner/student nurse an idea that is helpful to make an appropriate decision making in varied situations and will prepare the learner also on how to handle the different manifestations of burns. Furthermore, this topic will give an idea on how to become a progressive & productive person upon caring & understanding the different complications in their further exposure.

CENTRAL OBJECTIVES: By the end of this lecture discussion/teaching lesson using various learning activities, varied significant information will be gained by learners about emergency care of burned clients, its classifications, how to measure the damage area and signs and symptoms of immediate complications as well as the causes leading to infection and death. Enabling them to have a broader knowledge and better understanding of the patient’s condition during this period. Enabling them to gained benefits from preventing to commit mistakes thus increasing self awareness about the possible output of the patient, stay calm and compose upon caring the patient as well as possessing good attitude towards the patient...
