Communication Problems in Your Company
Communication is one of the most important things companies need to succeed.
Communication problems in your company can cause severe problems personally and professionally. The biggest barriers for communication problems in companies are miscommunication due to confusion, using insufficient or inappropriate communication tools and using poor communication techniques, such as poor listening skills, and poor body language
(“Duggan”, 2012). It is imperative that these problems be found, fixed and steps be set in place to help prevent further occurrences. Communication problems can decrease morale, waste time and affect productivity (“Duggan”, 2012).

Miscommunication can happen many different ways. One way would be a misunderstanding due to accent barriers. Culture clashes occur when people from different backgrounds fail to acknowledge and value differences in the workplace (“Duggan”, 2012). In the United States, we all come from different backgrounds, so for someone to have an accent in their speaking voice isn’t uncommon. Although there is nothing wrong with having an accent, it can create static in communication between one another. A message might not be delivered in its intended way due to this barrier. A way to mitigate this issue could be to have the individual enroll into a speaking class to better enunciate his words so that everything he says can be understood fully. Another way to make sure communication in the company is sufficient is if the individual does not do a lot of face to face speaking, allow the individual to send messages through other means. For example, e-mails, blogs, letters or faxes, this should help ensure that the intent of the message is seen as such. Miscommunication can and will happen in every company big and small, it is up to the managers to decide how they can handle the situations thoroughly and effective
