Celta Lesson Plan: Emotions (Pre-Intermediate)

The vocab taught will be happy, sad, crying, angry, scared and bored. I will also ask the students of any other emotions they already know. I will establish the meaning, eliciting as much as possible, if the word is not reached I will supply this. I will clarify the meaning using concept questions, and asking the students of a time when they felt that particular emotion. Once I am comfortable the students are aware of the target language, I will proceed to write the word on the board. I will thereafter drill the words for pronunciation. This will be done for each word. Once this is complete, I will write the words on the board with an emoticon next to the word so that the students can refer to it during the lesson.
