Ms. Anjali Chaturvedi is the head of the sales division in Fedington Technologies. Whenever she asks for feedback during the departmental meetings, she blasts anyone offering criticism which causes her sub-ordinates to agree to everything she says and not voice their true opinion on the way they manage their functioning. You want to talk to her about it , but what should you say ? List some of the points that you would like to make with when you would discuss this issue with her.
1) Being an MDP training team member I received the above feedback form her team members and decided to talk to her offline.
2) I will first check with her about the feedback on the team members, & will tell her to find out the best team members from her team to recommend for best performing team member of the year.
3) I will also tell her to find out the strategy to groom her team members to upgrade their level of performance.
4) I will share with her that management also takes the feedback from her subordinates about her as Team leader which shows that there is scope for improvement.
5) Being a leader she needs to win her team members to achieve the organisational goals.
7) I will also share with her about her areas of improvement: Since our organisation follows 360% feedback on performance you should take feedback from our team members, which will give good inputs for decision making and will create respect towards the decision taken.
8) Improvement on Listening skills is always a sign of an ideal manager and is always admired by the subordinates.
8) Also she will be suggested to keep a track of her team performance post changes in her strategies in Team handling.
