Analyzing Written Essays: Farthest, Faintest, Solar System Objects Found Beyond Neptune
The two essays I chose to read were “Farthest, Faintest, Solar System Objects Found Beyond Neptune” and “How to Succeed as an Online Student”. The four types of essay organization discussed is topic, time order, space order and the informative process. The characteristic which makes the above mentioned essays expository is it uses facts to inform about the topic with a strong thesis statement. The information is given in fact form and not in a biased manner by the writer.
Space organization is different from time organization because space is the special location of people, places or things in the essay. Time organization is what separates the subject of the essay in the specific time line detail in which the major events of the essay occurred. The informative process is basically knows as an essay which tells you how to do something. This is noted in a step-by-step process. Each of these is very useful in the essay writing process depending on the specific topic the writer is speaking about. The writer wants to be very careful of which format the essay is written, if written incorrectly then the thesis statement may not be supported and the context of the meaning behind the essay will be incorrect. The reader understands the essay topic by the organization in which the essay is presented. If the reader is speaking about a location such as city, a specific country or state then the special organization will be used to tell about the specific place. If the essay is about the events of 911 then it will be in time order from what happened from the first plane hitting the towers until the end of the day or week. The informative essay is easily understood by the reader if the writer is telling you how to do something such as how to cook cornbread, or how to change the oil in your car. Depending on the type of essay being written, it is easy to help the reader understand your topic if the correct process is being used. In my opinion, “How to

I have learned that it is important to structure an essay, if one doesn’t, it can be challenging for readers to understand the paper because this can throw readers off and confuse them, not really understanding what the topic is or why it is written. Structure also gives a sense of how well a paper was written and how much time was put into it. Another thing that we learned, is important to have is good context. It is a valuable thing to do because it shapes the meaning in what one wants to communicate. I have noticed that before, I used to just write and not think about if it made sense or if it was relevant to what my topic was about, but now, my organization has improved a bit to where it is easier to identify such…

What distinguishes space organization from time organization or informative-process organization in an essay is that space organization involves the spatial organization of ideas. This arrangement refers to information that deals with the location of people, places or things. While time order involves the sequential or chronological organization of information from one time period to another. This type of development arranges information according to date or a specific time. Finally, informative process involves a step-by-step process with steps arranged in their natural order (Characteristics of the Expository Essay, 2012).…
