Worst Nightmare
The worst nightmare I have ever had was when I had dreamt that I was in bed lying down looking at the ceiling and my room looked twice as big as it really was. It was pitch black and it seemed like there was nothing else in there but my bed and the walls surrounding me. It started with me hearing strange noises and voices of a man, a women and little children. I laid in my bed in a long white silk gown and quickly sat up and stared into the darkness. I asked softly “Who’s there?” but no one answered. As I pressed my feet onto the cold ground I stood up and walked slowly towards the door as I got closer the voices grew louder. It sounded as if the voices were telling me, “Hurry Amy! Hurry!”
As I put my hand on the steel door knob my heart started beating faster to where it felt as if my heart was about to explode out of my chest. I turned the door knob and opened the door slowly and walked into a long hallway with windows covered in torn white curtains and dark brown stains. The only light seeping into the hallway was from the moon. As I got to the end of the hallway there was a wooden door with scratch marks and what looked to be a few fingernails jammed into the right side of the door. I didn’t want to open the door; I was too scared to see what was waiting for me on the other side. I felt a soft tug on the bottom left of my gown. I held my breath and my eyes were wide in fear. As I slowly turned around I saw a little girl standing a few inches in front of me. She was wearing the same exact gown as mine and had long dark brown hair but I couldn’t make out her face. All that was shown was the tip of her nose but everything else had a dark shadow covering the rest of her facial features. I bent down and asked her, “What’s your name?”, but she wouldn’t answer me. I heard a click behind me and jerked my head around to see someone had opened the door. When I turned back around she was gone. I got back on my feet and walked into the room behind me and

I walked out of the car, and looked up to see the same large window. I stuck my hand in my pocket, to feel the same switchblade knife I had been holding onto for years. I took a deep breath and started climbing up the wall towards the window. The window was closed, but not locked, and I stepped into the cold room. There she was, in the same rose quartz room. She slept peacefully in the same baby pink, puffy bed, so comfortable compared to the hard, pavement floors I’ve slept on for the past 15 years. I stood at the edge of her bed, watching her breathe heavily while dreaming of something pleasant. How ironic.I tightened my grip on the knife. My palms sweaty, but my eyes focused. I raised my arm, the knife firm in my hand, and swiftly stabbed…

It was still in its nondestroyed state. I was with my friends from night one plus my friend's mother that I mentioned earlier as well, and my own parents. I walked into the building and I saw that room with a locked door that has the light on at all times. I was told to never go inside of that room. They told me that it was not for me to go into. I was going on vacation to this house for some reason so I had to unpack my bag in a bedroom. The house was very old so I ignored any movement that I heard I put my things on the bed and I was very cold. My mom called out for me to go to the main room. I went out there and noticed that people were crucified, hanged, torn in half, and burned. The door with a mysterious light was open and the girl was standing in front of it. I was afraid not because of the bodies but because the door was open. The girl motioned for me to come to her and I was unable to resist walking to her. As I got closer she looked more disfigured and evil. Her eyes were the biggest part that I remember. They were black with light pupils. She had claws like in my earlier dreams and she had a scream that paralyzed me. She ran at me and right as she was about to hit me I saw every event that I have that I have done to help or hinder people in real life. This felt like it went on forever and then I woke up screaming and in a cold sweat. My mother was trying to wake me up for ten minutes because of my screams. I knew that something was wrong at this…

I let my feet feel the carpeted stairs inch by inch. A found missing flyer was framed on the wall as I paced up and down the hallway my head was out of my mind or was it my mind was out of my head? Screaming. Screaming. Screaming. It never stopped! Where was it! I banged on the wall over, and over, and over, and over again. I ran to the closet door and opened it. There it was; the screaming. There she was; the girl. I couldn't see her, but I could feel the chill. A victim. I closed the door. My eyes crossed and rolled back. A shot of adrenaline shoots up me. The screams poor out of my mouth. I can't control it. I try to close my mouth, but I can't. I start walking down the stairs at a fast pace. Foaming at the mouth I try to get myself together but I can't. Why. Before I know it I'm picking up my gun and walking at an even faster pace out the door, but how. Something's pulling me, but nothing's there. I'm walking faster, and faster, and faster. Past the river, past the boat, into the water, to the shore, through more woods. Walking, and walking, and walking, and walking. I stop. My upper body seems to collapse, but my legs keep me stable. I look around as if I'm checking to make sure no ones there. I take the gun to my head I start to weep and call for help... But I'm already…

We each give our money to the man at the door. He was tall, with a creepy smile on his face. “good luck” He said sneeringly, and guided us in through the door. It looks like a lot of work was put into this. the room starts with a long corridor, that looks like it was just put there. they probably built it in with some type of heavy cardboard. The only light is provided by flickering lights above us. Right as we get about halfway through, the lights in the corridor shut off. I stopped, and five seconds later the lights snapped on, and a plastic head was hanging in front of me, six inches from my nose. my heart drops and then i realize it's not real. From behind me I could hear comments such as “oh jeez”, and “I wasn’t expecting that.” (They sent in a group of about six people at a time, and I was at the front, so I was getting all of the spooks.) I push the head out of the way and continue on Through the corridor. I enter a room through a doorway. I see a glimpse of another door, as the lights turn off and the door behind us is slammed shut. We are left in the dark for what seemed like forever, when i hear shuffling going across the floor. Suddenly, the lights quickly flicker, and in the middle of the room we see a man with a terrifying mask standing there right in front of us. The lights turn off, and on again, and the man is gone. We step forward to a doorway with a sign perched on the top. The sign reads, “THE…

As I lie in bed that night I found myself twisting and turning unable to fall asleep, when I heard the loud screech of the screen door opening. I quickly sat up in bed listening to see if somebody was in the house when I heard what sounded like light footsteps walking towards my room. I pretended to be asleep just waiting for the potential intruder to come creeping into my room. I watched the doorway, but nobody ever entered. That is when I felt a light press on the bed beside me as if someone had just lied in my bed. I quickly rolled over to see that nobody was there and fell asleep thinking that I was just going…

There’s an overwhelming sense of fear. It is as if there were eyes watching me. I begin to get out of the bed. I’m going to open the closet but I don’t want to. I know something bad is going to happen. But I open the door and there’s nothing, but it’s too dark to actually see anything. I lean further into the closet. It’s colder in the closet than in the room. I feel a hand pull my hand off the knob and drag me further in. I fall and I keep falling. I don’t stop falling till I wake up, and it gets colder as I fall. I feel my blood freeze in my veins. It's like the dream’s…

I was led by the smoke cloud to a quaint little cottage. It did not appear to be vacant. As I was approaching the door, I noticed a faint glow in the arched window. I assumed it was candlelight. In the corner of my eye, I sensed movement. A blurry and small outline of a person topped the hill. I decided to go in to the cottage even though the movement still was etched my mind. Once in, I walked through a small sitting circle and felt warmth from the fire burning stove. Into the kitchen was a table with food. A warm and fresh prepared meal was set out for two guests. The table had turkey, peas, green beans, bread and pie. I hadn’t eaten since this morning so I decided to help myself to a plate. As I was about to take a bite of the turkey, the wood door pushed open. This sound startled me to the point of coughing. The blurred figure came through the door. It was the person I saw in field. That person was carrying a basket full of garden vegetables. When the person saw me, she asked me who I was and why I was in her house. I told her about my hunting experience and how I had walked upon the cottage. I let her know about how cold it was and that I needed a little warmth and something to eat. She didn’t feel sorry for me in the least bit. I felt extremely bad because she had made this meal for her husband and children. I gave her my regards and lots for rabbits to enjoy. I left on my horse…

Just as my vision clears, I see a shadow coming towards my face. I felt a balled fist make contact with my jaw. I feel the blood vessels burst in my bottom lip as I fall to the ground. My breath instantly left me for dead as I felt their foot collide…

I turned to see an eerie figure running after us with haste. It occurred to me that I was alone, I looked forward to see her running away, I tried to reach her but every step was the same as walking in quicksand, with every step my feet was being pulled down towards the ground regardless of the heavy-load I now seemed to carry I towered through and reached the near-by bridged, however, I was to slow. An umbra shadow loamed over me, like a newborn baby I was lifted off the ground, where had all that weight gone, he moved closer and closer towards the bridge and dropped me… back to darkness I returned. The light pierced me and I woke up to find myself lying on the floor, with my sister crying beside me; I laid there as still as a doll not moving a finger or to acknowledge that I was awake, in my mind my whole life flushed pass me : my aspirations, my victories and my defeats. It was a dark spooky Halloween night, I had just finished watching Spookley, the Square Pumpkin. After a long night of handing out non-poisoned candy to weird staggering tots at my doorstep, I felt it was time to turn off the light. Walking to my room, I tripped on something slimy, being dismissive, I labeled it as my long lost sweater and threw it in the hamper. The corridor to my room seemed longer than usual this night, my steps seemed louder, offbeat almost. I quickly looked behind me, no one was there. Picking up my pace, the steps sounded closer, faster. Detecting my room door, I flew in and shut the door. with my back turned towards it. I’m panting, out of breath. Turning away the cover to my bed, I saw it. It was…
