Slide 2:
Before I start, I will show you the outline of my presentation. In the introduction, I will talk about definition of the work and travel programme. Then, I will move to the main points and explain the advantages and dis advantages of this programme. Lastly, I will conclude my presentation with summary, prediction and recommendation.
Slide 3:
Work and Travel in the USA, Europe and Australia is a program of international cultural exchange that allows students from different countries of the world to depart on summer vacations to these country to work and travel. The main purpose of the program is to help foreign students familiar with the culture and life of these country.
Slide 4:
Now I will move on to my first main point which is about the benefits of this program such as Improving English skills, Developing working skills.
Slide 5:
First of all, the students who attend this programme will have chance to communicate in English with local people and coworker. Especialy, English is used as main language in these country. There fore, the more we practice the better we get English skills.
For example, Leonardo- a student from Brazil said that when he joined this program in 2010 in US, he met a local family and they treat him like a member of them so he learn much from them. It is best time in his life.
Slide 6:
Next, the students are employed in some jobs everyone can do. For Example, they can work as cashier, waiter/waitress …Therefore, they not only have more experience to solve problem in working but also work in a team. It helps them develop many skills.
For example, Vincent- a student form Malaysia said that when he joined this program in 2009 and worked at Subway in US.The store is not big but it had a lot of customers. He enjoyed to work here, he started to know the people who he’s working with, realized what are the problem they face nomarly and how to deal with it. That’s all I have to say about the benefits of this programme.
Slide 7:
Now, I will talk about the setbacks of this programme. These are Poor accommodation and language barriers.
Slide 8:
First, student will be arranged accommodation, in some case it is not good. Maybe many people in a small room or room without nessecery equipment. For example,
Lucio- a student form Agrentina said to reporter of abc news that “ when he join this programme in December 2012, he worked for MC Donald in Washington and it was bad time of him. He lived in a poor room with many people, so he didn’t want to join in this programme any more”.
Slide 9:
In addition, many student come from asian country in where English is not second language. So English is not good enough when communicate. So they may have problem when work or travel.
I just talk the setbacks of this programme
Slide 10:
Finally, may I remind you of some of the main points we’ve considered. When we participate in this programme, we have chance to improve English skill and develop working skills. However, there are some problems which we must consider such as poor accommodation and languge barriers.
Slide 11:
In my prediction, I can say that more and more student will join in this programme.
Slide 12:
For my recommendation, I would like to say that there is need to improve standard of accommodation for students.
This is the end of my presentation. Thank you very much for listening.

While studying abroad, I believe that this skill I gained from my internship will allow me accommodate and adapt easily to the new culture. I also learned from this internship how to properly communicate with new people in general, but also with people who may not be familiar with my own culture and lifestyle. This new skill will also allow me to communicate and connect with other students while abroad by expressing an interest in who they are. I will also be able to grow a connection with my peers by showing them a bit of my culture and help them learn a new way of life.…

The program incorporates a rigorous, core international curriculum, while including other components including Theory of Knowledge and CAS (creativity, activity and service). To most students, the work may seem excessive for a high school education; However, the opportunity to earn 30 college credits with the program, in addition to the lessons of time management and critical thinking are worth more than the relaxation most associate with a typical high school experience. I thrive on experience, and participating in the maximum amount of classes and extracurriculars are the best way to feed my intellectual…
