7) Voluntary Controlled Schools are not financially helped by the church but are controlled by the church and funded by the LEA. Governirs are people whi may have some association with the church and they decide who works for the school. The LEA employ the staff and the school follows the national curriculm.

2.1 Describe the roles and responsibilites of:

∙ School governors roles and resposibilites include to write policies and procedures, set rules and regulations.To install disciplinary and attend PTA’s. they also help to control finances and employ all staff.

∙ Senior Management Team this includes :- The Head Teacher, Deputy Head, Assisting Head and Head’s of Years. The management team must establish policies and makes ure sure they are achieved. They manage staff and resources to achieve the aims and objectives of the school and monitor progress. They asre also responsible for the well-being, education and discipline of all children.

∙ SENCO ( Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator)
They have to ensure they liase with parents, children and the LEA. They also manage Pupil Premium money, these people included in this criteria are:- children on free school meals, children who are in care or who have parents in the forces. Senco also help to give advice/support to other teachers egarding special needs. They ensure all children are included and equal opportunities is put in to place for everyone. It is also their responsiblitie to write ILP (Iindividual Learning Plans)

∙ Teachers Roles are to write up lesson plans, to asses learners and monitor their progress. They must follow the national curriculm or EYFS (early years foujndaton). Ensure they area pproachable towards parents and children. Monitoer Health and Safety and put any risk assessments in place if needed. Display work relevant to learning and offer extra support to children who may need it. (senco)
