named Prim.Prim got called to be apart of the The Hunger Games but Prim is too young to be
apart of the hunger games so Katniss took her sister place so that her sister would not have to
go to the arena to fight for her life.This is true because in the book on chapter 2 page 22 Katniss
called out loud in made her way through the crowd to the stage and pushed prim out the way in
volunteered to take her place because she didn’t want her sister to be there she would have
rather be there for her and her family to worry less.But when Katniss got to the place where she

I can tell that this part of the book is serious to Katniss because I
don’t think she can take having one of her loved ones die again. Katniss still has problems with
grieving about her dad but she has to take care of her family just for him this is causing her to
grow up.I say this because in the book it tells me all her struggles in what she has to do to get
herself together so her family will have at least one strong minded person in the family.It means
that she is young in she have problems still that nobody would hardly know because of how she
acts.Like in chapter 2 when Katniss says “My father knew and he taught me some before he
blown to bits in a mine explosion.There was nothing even to bury.I was eleven then.Five years
later,I still wake up screaming for him to run.”(Suzanne Collins.2)Katniss tells about her father
because something reminded her of him when she was in the woods,she was explaining
