THANK YOU
I noticed that in this autobiography, Dahl only recounts the most exciting of storys of his childhood, there isn’t much sad or boring storys. Although all the storys he recounts are exciting, they all sound credible.
As this this autobiography is a children’s book, there isn’t much access to the internal life of Dahl, not much feelings, and thoughts were expressed.

In this autobiography, Dahl writes a lot about his fascination for sweets and his love for the local sweet shop. He explained that regardless of the fact that the localsweet shop owner is a rotten old lady, it doesn’t stop him from buying sweets because of his love for them.

The next day at school, a special assembly is organized at their school, set up by the dreaded Mr Coombes. It turns out Mrs Pratchett, had made a complaint to the school about “thieves” and “loiterers” coming into her sweet shop. Eventually, the boys got caught out for their prank. They were caned by Mr Coombes as a punishment, while Mrs. Pratchett watched, laughing.
