Romeo and Juliet A famous tragedy written by William Shakespeare Is well known for undying love as well as tragic events that caused countless deaths. Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, Are the Two protagonists of the story, as well as “Star crossed lovers” who gave their lives for one another. Many factors lead to the death of Romeo and Juliet, various readers believe that Romeo and Juliet are to blame for the course of events leading to their deaths, Therefore it is there fault that they died. Additionally readers believe that because Romeo poisoned himself, and Juliet stabbed herself that they are truly the only character to blame for their deaths. However it was not Romeo’s or Juliet’s fault that the tragedy occurred, three major factors lead to the death of Romeo and Juliet. Firstly external character influence, both Romeo and Juliet had numerous influential characters that guided them, down the unrighteous path that the couple progressed on throughout the play. Secondly impulsive love, Romeo’s and Juliet’s impulsiveness is one of the main reasons that they wed so quickly amongst other action preformed by the two Protagonists. Thirdly the feud between the Montague and Capulet families, the feud was the reason the two lovers could not be together, along with the reason so many characters died in the play. Romeo and Juliet were not to blame for their own hasty deaths, nevertheless many readers will still try to argue who is to blame for the tragedy, the next part of this article will illustrate Romeo’s and Juliet’s innocence.
