Toucan Charlie’s Buffet and Grille Whether you love everything, or you’re pickier- there is always a great selection of fine foods for everyone at Toucan Charlie’s Buffet and Grille. The atmosphere at Toucan Charlie’s truly is unique and the jungle theme only makes it stand out more from the competition. The service is exceptional. Toucan Charlie’s Buffet and Grille is definitely a restaurant I would recommend to anyone and everyone. Approaching the restaurant, the first thing that I immediately noticed was the theme, I saw palm trees standing up to the ceiling, rock walls and plants everywhere, this gave it a unique atmosphere. The second thing I noticed was that there was a line to pay and another line to be seated, instantly this showed that the restaurant was popular. After being seated, I was very surprised that I couldn’t smell any smoke, although it was very strong on the casino floor.
When I walked into Toucan Charlie’s Buffet and Grille, I truly was amazed by the size of the buffet and the surprising selection. As I walked through the buffet, deciding what I will pick; every dish that I saw looked better than the previous one, I simply couldn’t decide what to eat. On that night their specialty was steak and seafood, so I started out with prime rib, and it was amazing, as I tasted it, I felt like I was eating at a steakhouse. Up next were the crab legs, snow and Dungeness. Although I did enjoy them, the only downside for me was that my server didn’t have metal crackers. After eating so much, I really was stuffed but I completely forgot about the desserts! The dessert station was enormous, and the selection- I couldn’t dream of a better one. I tried the carrot cake, German chocolate cake, 3 types of cheesecake, and plenty of éclairs. The one dessert that really stood out for me was the éclairs, because they were so big, I could barely fit 3 of them onto my plate. The moment I was seated, my busser greeted me

Third, the whole place was extremely loud. The waitress couldn’t even hear what our orders were. I understand that a large restaurant will have a lot of people that will talk, but we weren’t even able to talk to people at our table without having to yell. We could even hear other table’s conversations near us about disgusting things. I probably will never…

When looking at the menu, sometimes I have trouble deciding on what to choose. The reason why is their menu consists of mainly comfort food like what we grew up with when our parents made us dinner as kids. When I think of food from a restaurant I think of a quick cooked meal that tastes nothing like what I think it should. The food here is more like home cooked meals. The portions are larger than what many other restaurants provide. Sometimes the food is not what we expect like being cold, undercooked, overcooked or just not…

Last weekend, I went to Suwanee, GA to see my father and stepmother because it had recently been my stepmother's birthday. In celebration we chose to dine out at a restaurant called Gulf Coast Grill. It was the first time my family had eaten at the restaurant, but will not be the last. Once stepping inside, I knew it was going to be interesting because the restaurant had a very strong beach theme as well as a live band playing. After being told it was going to be a fifteen to twenty minute wait, I was surprised when our table was called after less than ten. The restaurant experience was already off to a good start, and only continued to get better.…

One thing that we noticed right away was that the majority of people entering the restaurant came in pairs (typically, but not always, one male and one female.) All patrons are greeted by someone who opens the door for them. Upon entering they are then greeted by another person who asks them where they would like to be seated (smoking or non-smoking.) The typical wait to be seated during this time was about 1-2 minutes. Another…

Many people are on lunch break and are rushing to get some delightful soul food before their break ends. The parking spaces are limited and the restaurant itself is relatively small, so come with only a few friends and make arranges to drive just maybe one vehicle if you intend to sit down and eat. You can also place your order to-go if you do not want to dine-in. Mostly every time I go, I always get my food to-go so I won’t have to witness the hectic crowd. The menu is straight forward, choose a meat and sides. The meat ranges from fried or baked chicken, fried or baked catfish, ribs, meatloaf, oxtails, neck bones, fried or baked pork chops, beef tips, shrimp, etc. Different sides include: lima beans, collard greens, turnip greens, mustard greens, macaroni, corn, yams, mashed potatoes and gravy, rice and gravy, peas, okra, etc. The food is provided on plastic trays, similar to grade school days, but the food served in those trays is beyond delicious from any of the food from grade school. The prices are very reasonable for the great amount of food they give you. You probably will spend just about $10.00 at the most on one meal, it all just depends on what you order. I have tried mostly all the food such as, the fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, pork chops, pasta, beef tips and rice, red beans and rice, peach cobbler, banana bread, pound cake, etc. Like I said before, the portions are very large, so you…

The Stanford Prison Experiment a good passage based on 22 people who participated in a selected from an initial pool of 75 people, who answered to a newspaper advertise asking for males to participate in a psychological study of 'prison life' in return for payment of $15 per day. Each person completed an questionnaire on his family background, physical and mental health history, prior experiences and attitudinal tendencies with respect to sources of psychopathology including their involvements in crime. Each person was also interviewed by one of two experimenters. The 24 people who were judged to be most stable physically and mentally, most mature, and least involved in antisocial behaviors were selected to participate in the study.Half the people were assigned to be the guard in the experiment and the other half was the prisoners. The people were normal, healthy, male college students who were in the Stanford area during the summer. They were largely of middle-class people with the exception of one person. All the people in the experiment were all strangers to each other. The analysis is based upon 10 prisoners and 11 guards in the experimental conditions. The prison was built in a 35-foot section of a basement in the psychology building at Stanford University. It was split by two fabric walls; that was fitted with the only entrance door to the cell block and the other had a small observation screen. Three small cells (6 x 9ft) were made from converted laboratory rooms by replacing the doors with steel barred, black painted…

First Impression: The Big Cheese Italian Restaurant lives up to its name. When you first drive up, the parking spaces are tight and the area is very crapped. But once you are seated and begin your dining experience you forget about all the things that are not ideal and enjoy the delicious meals that comes at the right time. For starters, the boys wanted Calamari ($9.95), 12- Wings ($9.95) and the adults had Caesar Salad-Full Order ($9.95). We knew immediately that we were in trouble with the amount of food that was placed on the table in front of us. The Calamari was fresh and not chewy according to the boys, it didn’t last long enough for the adults to taste. The Caesar Salad was absolutely phenomenal. The full size serving feed all three adults and the boys. The lettuce was nice and crisp, the hint of anchovy was just enough to have the essence hit the taste buds with just the right amount of bite. The cracked pepper gave it the right amount of spice and the dressing was sufficient to cover without drowning out the croutons. The addition of red onions to the salad enhanced the overall taste of the salad and we had a hard time stopping.…

Recently I had the opportunity to visit Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House located at 144 Bourbon Street for my grandfather’s 73rd birthday luncheon celebration. My mother selected this restaurant for its great seafood and authentic New Orleans dishes. She had booked a reservation for a party of seven, and this was my first time at the establishment. I thought it was going to be another French quarter hole in the wall restaurant with concrete floors and shoddy decor; however, I was pleasantly surprised.…
