What do you think would be the most challenging aspects of managing a program evaluation?
Program evaluation is a process for conveying information to accept decisions about programs. Accepting that program evaluator operate in an environment of constraints such as resources, expertise, time, etc.), the evaluation challenge in Extension is to do the best job when operating in this environment of constraints, in collecting information about our programs for decision making. The most challenging aspects of managing a program evaluation for me would be establishing evaluation agreement and contract. As I learned from this week resources, conflicts can arise from assumptions of expectations. (Fitzpatrick, et al., 2011). However, being that it is a legally binding document

Technology has been used to improve efficiency, speed, productivity and to supportive program evaluation (Theall & Franklin, 2001). Technology provides a mechanism tool for formative and summative purpose. It can be used to gather and store quantitative and qualitative data. It can increase data processing, provide a faster access to the information and increase communication with stakeholder who are in different locations. (Theall & Franklin, 2001). Despite these many positives, it is important to remember that the tool is only as good as the person using it. If the wrong questions are asked, the data is misinterpreted, or erroneously compiled, if software is programmed improperly, results can be affected significantly. As much as we like to believe that technology makes everything better, it is also important to realize it could not do so if there was not someone guiding it along the right path. In conclusion, there any many advantages of using technology to enhance program evaluation process. However, the use technology in evaluation should be thought of as part of a complete and systematic approach. (Theall & Franklin,
