IDENTIFYING STRENGTHS AND AREAS TO IMPROVE

I found the result of my Personality Test to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. I must use my strength as an advantage, and I believed that my strength would help, and benefit my other team. As my ESFP personality code strengths generally have the following traits: Genuine warmth and interest towards people. I get along with all sorts of people. Practical and realistic. Cooperative and quick to encourage people. I managed my time very well. I make sure that I finish task in a given time. Managed to stay calm even in a stressful situation or under pressure. My other team has different personality from me. We all came from different background, culture, values, beliefs, opinion, practices and experiences. I strongly believed that each of us uniqueness in character, and personality will help our team and assess our individuality. As we will learn from each other differences, and how this will serve as a tool to become effective as a team. To improve my self in dealing with my other team. First, I think I will be more open with communication to avoid conflict or misunderstanding. Cooperation and engagement in every given task. I will always initiate contribution and help team-planning, brainstorming, sharing ideas, opinion and suggestion in a certain task or situations. Always work as a team, and acknowledge team effort and hard work. I will be open with feedback and criticism for improvement and growth. I keep in mind that people will not always agree with me or understand me, even if they value, and appreciate greatly. And take it as a challenge and in a positive way. Fix any issue as possible and move on. I will always works at my best. I considered being insensitive and straight forward as my weaknesses. Because sometimes when I’m comfortable with someone I tend to joke around. I say things that I don’t really mean and people often misinterpret. So, to avoid

My initial self-personality assessment test suggests that I am very well organized, which is accurate. This proves that the assessment tests designed by our HR team is credible and can be used further for the rest of our members. My personality assessment also indicated my sensitivity to deadlines and my keen eye on details. Both are correct because I always follow instructions and make sure quality of the deliverables are at their best. Since I will be the team leader, I will be responsible for the quality of the deliverables, and this will improve accountability, not just for me, but also for the team members. I also perform extremely well because of my skills as a team leader and my experience, education, and training has taught me the principles of time management, which can be critical in meeting deadlines and setting priorities to objectives. After completing the StregthsQuest survey, I learned that my five greatest strengths are Harmony, Competition, Achiever, Includer, and Communication. Some of these strengths I had previously recognized as a strength, but a few were a surprise to me. Growing up, I was always a competitive person. I enjoyed the thrill of winning, whether it be in a team effort or individual effort. Also, I have always wanted to achieve great things in both my personal and professional life. I believe that I have always been great at communicating with others and love to include others in everything that I do to achieve a goal. The biggest strength of mine that surprised me most was Harmony. However, after reading about each strength, I know how I have utilized…

My top five strengths for the strength finder test were deliberate, adaptability, maximize arranger, and consistency. For once I can say I’m actually satisfied with a computerized test about myself. One thing I can say about my results from this strength finder it’s a lot more accurate when it comes to the qualities I posses. My results do not match up close to previous held beliefs about myself. I am typically seen as the kind of person to play the leadership role in just about anything. The point of view from others of me being a leader is completely off, I feel the complete opposite. I am more of an observer, and I learn from not only the mistakes of others, but mine as well. The vocal portion of leadership is what I am not too fond. I could lead with actions, but vocally I’m not as sharp. Not only that, but I generally go off simply instincts, and not what is planned. Maximizing my strengths can happen in various ways. Arranger is a strength that can be maximized by more preparation and better using more time for organization. I believe there’s no such thing as being over prepared. Adaptability is a strength I could improvise on by being aware with a lot more situations so when the time comes I will be able to adapt in the best way possible. All of the strengths of mine can be maximized by me realizing what makes that strength of mine and not focusing on my weaknesses. The more I focus on my weaknesses the more ill back track. An individual cannot build performance on weaknesses, but one can on strength. Majority of the fields in business best suit my strengths. In a business environment consistency is huge. The more consistent person gains the most respect. The more consistent you are, the more reliable you’ll be seen as. If you’re seen as more reliable by your co workers they’ll enjoy your presence. Blind spots may result from overextending the maximize strength. You can by overextending the maximize strength by simply over…

There were traits and suggestions that were found in several of my strength areas. For instance, several strength sections mentioned the fact that I consult the experts when necessary, and the fact that I allow individuals with more knowledge of certain skills obtain leadership at different periods. I am certain of this to be true because I have developed a self-awareness that allows me to recognize when I am not competent in certain matters, and to seek out support. Planning along with organization, and maintaining order was also found in several areas of my result. These three traits were found in numerous of my strength areas. Additionally, being diligent and verifying information was another theme, and so was being industrious. Sequential thinking and performance were common themes as well. I consider sequential thinking as my greatest and evident trait. I prefer for tasks, events to be in sequence. Even though I am able to adjust when things are not in order, I prefer following a proven pattern and…

After reviewing the “Trait Theories” in chapter four, specifically the “Big Five”, I have come to learn that researchers believe that personalities can be described and evaluated in five traits. (Witt and Mossler, 2010, Ch. 4.3). Starting with Openness to Experience, I believe I would score high on this trait because I am very open-minded to new ideas and I constantly put myself in other people’s shoes to see their own point of view. I would score high on Conscientiousness because I am very goal oriented, ambitions and dependable. I am moderate on Extraversion. Even though I enjoy talking and sharing ideas with others I am not very involved in big social groups. On Agreeableness, as much as I hate to admit, I would be more on the lower scale. For some reason, I am very confrontational and always challenge people if I they are doing something they shouldn’t be doing. Lastly, Neuroticism I would score low. I’m more of a “glass half full” kind of guy. I know how to control my emotions and I never let them get the best of me.…
