Men’s Soccer Player Profiles Nick Aievoli Nick Aievoli graduated from L.D Bell High School (Hurst, Texas) in 2010. He claimed First Team All-District 5-5A honors as a defender, playing under head coach Scott Campbell. Bell finished with a 4-7-6 record during Aievoli’s senior season. He played club soccer for Gator F.C. Tanner Britton Tanner is a native of Lubbock, Texas and was part of Monterey High School’s 15-5-2 playoff season as a senior. He claimed honorable mention All-District 2-5A honors as a defender. The Plainsmen had their season come to an end in the Class 5A Bi-District round with a loss to El Paso Socorro. Kelvin Brown Kelvin transfers to Lubbock Christian University after playing junior college soccer for Mountain View College in Oak Cliff, Texas. He played defense under head coach Steve Rodriguez. A graduate of Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, Texas, he received AllDistrict 7-5A honors at defense. Alistair Caldwell Alistair comes to LCU from Eastern New Mexico University, where he started 14 games in net, registering a 1.71 goals against average with three shutouts (against Colorado Christian, St. Edwards and Northeastern State). The goaltender from Kilmarnock, Scotland claimed Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week on October 21, 2009, and was also chosen to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Alistair played club soccer with the Neilston Juniors U21s. He represented Scotland at Schoolboy levels U15 and U18. Has been the winner of Scottish Cup with Ayrshire Schools in 2007, Ayrshire League with Hurlford Juniors in 2008, the U19s Ayrshire League, Presidents Cup and North Ayrshire Cup in 2007. Adrian Carpenter Adrian is from Abilene, Texas, where he starred at Cooper High School. As a senior last season, Adrian claimed District 7-4A Co-MVP and First Team All-District honors.     The TV show Lost is a story about a group of people who survive a plane crash and end up on a mysterious island. Beyond the premise of the show there are deeper themes that run through out the show. While the first season may have been primarily about the survivors realizing that help isn’t exactly on the way and that they must band together to survive. From the very beginning we begin to see conflicts arise when matters of trust are involved. As the survivors begin to know one another better the skeletons in the closet for everyone are eventually revealed. Examples include when Jack Sheppard, the de facto leader of the group of survivors, found a mug shot of one of the other passengers who was being escorted by a US marshal. Kate was wanted for the murder of her father. Sayid Jarrah, another survivor, was previously a torturer for the Iraqi Republican Guard. James “Sawyer Ford” was a conman who conned couples out of their money; he also left behind a daughter whom he refused to accept in to his life. Needless to say this caused a major point of contention in the aftermath of the crash as many erroneously thought he had something to do with it. Not all of the passengers’ past is as dark though. John Locke was paralyzed from the waist down before the crash on the island. Mr. Eko was a reformed Nigerian gangster turned priest after an accident killed his brother.
