“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself,” this is a quote by a Russian author, Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy (September 9, 1828 – November 20, 1910). A quote that has always stayed with me, since reading it as an optimistic young business student was really a morale booster for me.
I always knew that I wanted to make a great positive impact in the business environment both locally and internationally, particularly with financial institutions in countries and communities in need, and I came to realize from Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy quote that seeking to change the world to make a great positive impact I must first of all start by grooming myself as an excellent business leader in the Finance world, locate all the opportunities within it and better it eventually.
As the fourth child among six siblings, I was always somewhat aware of the common limitations associated with members of my family since we were never tagged among the affluent people in the community I grew up in. We learn to crawl despite the bruises on our knees and elbows and the many falls we endure, I made up my mind that no matter the obstacles that stands my way I will never give up and with this determination I have been able to seal through to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree.
My short-term goal is to obtain a finance Master's program certificate which focuses on finance and the financial markets. I believe this will provide me with a broader and deeper exposure to finance, which form part and parcel of my ultimate objective, which is to become a professional financial analyst.
I believe obtaining my Master’s Degree will provide me with ideal opportunity to cultivate my intellectual understanding of business management within a classroom setting, and explore innovative ideas with a diverse and global student body. Joining a MBA program will be an ideal opportunity to not only major in my principal areas of interest, but also develop the intellectual and
