The Vietnam Veterans Memorial is the most outstanding national monument, viewed daily by thousands of people with both traditional views and modern opinions. This particular monument has influenced me by its unique atmosphere and the indelible mark it leaves on a person.
I remember the engraved names on the black, granite memorial. The abundance of names listed seems to go on forever in my head. The chilling feeling I experienced, while gazing at the monument, is indescribable. The monument made me realize the sacrifice those being dedicated made so that America could reign in freedom.
