Getting Ready in the Morning

For most people, waking up in the morning is a drag. As you get out of bed, you

start to think of your responsibilities. how to cure the hangover from the night before, or just how

you can forget the regrettable things that you said to your loved one. Most importantly, being

prepared for the unknown of a new day. The only thing that you can do is, knowing what to do

with your time, and managing it.

First step, is knowing what "getting ready in the morning" means to you. Does it

involve doing your homework? Getting caught up with your favorite TV show? Or simply,

eating breakfast. Another important aspect of getting ready is, learning to being in the moment

and learning to be patient. Sometimes you get your mind so wrapped up with the past; that you

cannot function well, because you are not living in the moment. As I mentioned earlier,

sometimes you will go to sleep with regret of saying regretful things the day before. Eventually

things will come in place, and you and your loved one will be able to reconcile. But what about

your hangover? You cannot reconcile from that! Yet, you can still heal and rejuvenate the body,

and do your best for what is to come. Therefore the first step to getting ready is, knowing what

you want to do with your time, living in the moment, think about your responsibilities and

priorities. Most importantly, be the best that you can be.

The next and final step is time management. As much as there are things that are

beyond our control, there are certain things that you (personally) can mobilize. Time

management, will not only prevent you from waking up late, but it will make you less scattered.

For instance. my body prefers four to five hours of sleep. If I go more or less than that, I will feel

overloaded. Therefore, I would go to sleep at midnight, and wake up by five. In conclusion, my

advice to getting ready in the morning

I knew something was wrong with my drinking but the crunch was when my husband pointed it out to me. He told me that he was not prepared to go on the way things were. Him intervening the way he did, putting me in the car and taking me to a meeting against my wishes, meant that my drinking didn’t get any worse, I realise that now. Thanks to what he did a lot of things like hospital admissions or losing my job didn’t happen. I started drinking at 55 after suffering a panic attack and being diagnosed with depression and anxiety. Previous to that it was a fortnightly couple of drinks with a sister, which if it didn’t happen was no big deal. I thought a drink would help me with my anxiety. It started with a quarter bottle which would last me three or four days,…

Alcohol addiction is one of the world’s worse dehumanization acts, and this is something that an individual does to his/her self. Addiction of itself can be called the failure of self-control (Johnson, R. A., Lukens, J. M., Kole, J. W., & Sisti, D. A. 2015). Most people are aware that they have an alcohol addiction and alcohol abuse is caused by irrational drinking (OON JUNG, C., & JANG-HAN, L. 2015). Studies show that addiction is recognized as a brain disease that is caused from exposure to drugs, environmental, social and economic factors (Volkow, N. D., & Li, T. 2005). A good way that can be solid in preventing an addiction such as alcohol is to be strong from the very beginning and say no, do not try to impress peers, even as tempting as the bottle may be, choose the right friends, or even hang out with people who share the same ideas as you have.…
