“For Poorer, For Richer” is a picture story about two refugees, Htay Beh and Aung Kaung Myat, who are from Burma, and now living with their sons and daughters in the Buffalo, New York. What brings them to come from Burma to Buffalo? They were driven far away from home by violence said in the article. However, their lives in Buffalo is even worse. They might tolerate hunger, poorness, bullied by federal government. The report showed that every person gets 8.02 dollars per year for welfare. Sounds good, but refugees pay the tax more than 8.02 bucks which means the government did not help them out of poor and push them to poorer.
