Favourite Place
My favourite place
Everyone has their own one special place, a place where you can be you, where you can find peace and harmony. A place where you feel happy and comfortable being there. For some it’s a quiet place, for others it might be a hustling, bustling, full of people and movement place. But all of these places have one thing in common, they are places where you’d run to in times of both joy and misery.

As for me, my favourite place is where I feel most comfortable and relaxed in, and that I can be myself. I do not have to care about any other people’s feelings and what they think about me. What I do in there, would only be memories of my own and no one else. I can have the craziest hair style or the weirdest clothes on but still feeling like the prettiest girl in the world, or be in the most comfortable sitting or lying down positions that I can never be in another places. This is a place where I can feel secure and safe when doing anything I want to do. It is also a place that would first appear in my mind that I would want to head to when I am tired or whenever I just need some time to lie down and chill out. As I just step into it, all stress and tiredness would slip off my shoulders so that I would be able to relax and recharge again to fight and face other difficult problems and situations. It is to me, the most comfortable place in the world and there are no other places that can be compared with.

My favourite place also holds a treasure of all my possessions, things I grew up with and everything that makes up who I am. My favourite blankets, my favourite perfume, accessories, clothes, shoes, books, photos bags and drawings are like puzzle pieces that make up my favourite place. Colourful paintings brightens up the plain, dual white walls, a variety of perfume brings a refreshing smell into the fine air and many of my favourite objects in my favourite colour- pink scatters around are some of the reasons why this is my favourite place, it

I feel that in life it is important to feel comfortable in the world, to feel freedom and happiness in nice places. For example in “ The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton the main character expresses that life in the country would be far superior to that of the city. So ask yourself the same question, where do you think you would be the most happy? Personally I feel comfortable by a lake in a small cabin where you are free to explore and enjoy the fresh air. In conclusion I think that you should go and find a place in the world that is right for you. To travel to in order to find peace.…

Maybe this place has no sickness, unhappiness or pain. What I would give to be in a magical place like that. This poem is also the title of a book penned by the same author. It is amazing though because it gives you the feeling that it represents two things at once. It represents a magical place with all types of crazy things and also a place or city where the sidewalk literally stops.…

My special place is the country in Bristow, Oklahoma. When I am in the country I hear the goats “baa-ing”, the stomping of their feet hitting the grass, the pigs snorting, rolling around in the mud, and the dog barking. I see my two children running around messing with the dog and running away from the daddy goat. My dad and grandpa are drinking beer and messing with a car or staring at each other. The baby goats are following their mother around everywhere. There is nothing but green grass and a bunch of energy from the animals. I smell goat poop, the pig’s nasty, natural smell they have and the fresh, beautiful, dirt road air all at the same time. I see green grass, a bunch of big, green trees, and pretty flowers bloomed. I walk behind the…

If I could pick one place to live for the rest of my life and be totally content, I would pick the countryside just outside of London. I have never visited a more peaceful place. The scenery is beautiful and although it rains quite often, even the rain has a different type of beauty. While visiting London, I stayed in a small house with an older man and woman. I was at the park meeting some of the locals when a rain shower came out of nowhere. It was the most beautiful rain I had ever seen. As I looked out over the hills, and into the grassy fields, the rain pouring, I remember just standing there in awe of how beautiful rain could actually be, and how I knew that I could be completely at ease with making this place my home.…

Imagine a small cottage in countryside surrounded by green fields, thickets of lush bamboo and a small water body. However, as Riley noted: “the affective attachments to ideas, people, psychological states, past experiences, and culture” are the crucial element of the concept. “And it is through the vehicle of particular environmental settings that these individual, group, and cultural processes are manifested.” The place, therefore, may be defined as a medium or milieu which embeds and is a repository of a variety of life experiences, is central to those experiences,…

    Meaningful Place

When I think of a meaningful place, I think of my bedroom. A place like my bedroom is where I can relax and be comfortable. I think that is why it is important to me, because I can be myself and feel comfortable in there. I can also just sit down and rest my body. Another reason is I can go there when I want privacy. I can shut the door, maybe even lock it and tell everyone in my household not to disturb me. My room holds most of my personal belongings there and they are important to me. Therefore I do not let any and every one in bedroom because that is my place of treasures and comfort.…

I can honestly say that my most comfortable place may not be a physical location; instead it is more of an idea. I envision a beautiful landscape, perhaps a sandy beach with the sun at the perfect position just above the water out on the horizon, or a bright green meadow full of color, as far as the eye can see. The people that I hold most dear are there with me, and as we cook steak and chicken on an open fire, the love between us all becomes lifelike, almost visual. Perhaps, many people will feel the same way and find the same values I believe to be true, but many will not. It is important for me to feel close to my family, and solely being with them puts my mind at ease, something easier said than done for a majority of people, students or not.…

Important places to me are those that you don’t think you could live without. When I think of a soccer field, a dancing stage, or a couch to simply lie and have movie marathons on, I don’t think about the location, I think about the people involved in the memories created there. These places are important to me, not because they themselves are important, but because of the amazing memories I have experienced there. So if I were asked if I could live without these places, I would say no. But does that make them all a home to me? And if not, where is my home?…
