Haunted places have been a part of history since ancient times, though the concrete idea of a ‘haunted house’ original emerged in mid 18th century. Places that are said to be haunted are usually believed to be related to the dramatic or grisly events that occurred in the past. They are often a former home or it's the place where he or she died. Belief in haunted houses typically depends on a person’s beliefs regarding ghosts and the afterlife. Nonbelievers of hunted houses has various of explanations for events that occur at such locations. Strange noises in old buildings are often thought as just natural result of the weakened infrastructure of the house.
