Essay On Haunted Houses
Haunted houses are one of the most popular stories of all time passed through the generations by generations and have told in many cultures around the world. Haunted houses have captured the imaginations of storytellers, paranormal experts, and scientists. All haunted houses has a story behind it on how it became haunted. The scenes of grizzly murders or tragic deaths are what they usually shows in the movie. A house is haunted if demons or ghosts terrorized the house (Carroll). Ghosts in the house does not like having people live in their house so they do supernatural things to make them move away from the house (Tersigni).
Haunted places have been a part of history since ancient times, though the concrete idea of a ‘haunted house’ original emerged in mid 18th century. Since then, haunted houses have been a central point in many gothic novels and horror films. If someone is willing to believe in haunted houses, there are a lot of history to support those beliefs. Places that are said to be haunted are usually believed to be related to the dramatic or grisly events that occurred in the past. They are often a former home or it's the place where he or she died. Belief in haunted houses typically depends on a person’s beliefs regarding ghosts and the afterlife. Nonbelievers of hunted houses has various of explanations for events that occur at such locations. Strange noises in old buildings are often thought as just natural result of the weakened infrastructure of the house. Someone that experienced a hauntings in a haunted house may be experiencing a dream, or suffering from mental issues. Others may misinterpret the situations because of their personal beliefs
