She can be easily excited, thrilled, scared, and shocked. She’s 24 now, but she never stopped jumping up and down when something wonderful happens. Her biggest fear is getting bad news. Or, letting someone down. She really love showing people what she meant when she wrote a song, so her shows are very theatrical. She knock on wood constantly. She have a cat named Meredith. She's named after her favorite character on Grey's Anatomy, and she's fantastic. She live in Nashville, a magical land where 99% of the people are friendly and courteous drivers who let you in and don't honk at you.
She go into a trance when she’s in an antique store. She don't like it when something or someone turns out to be different than what you originally thought. Like when you're shopping and you find a really cute dress, only to realize it’s actually a strange jumpsuit situation. But she mostly don't like it when it happens with people. She love her friends and she’s always making new ones. She don't really think you can ever stop making new friends or learning about as many new things as possible. She also don't think you should ever take life so seriously that you forget to play.Music has taken her all over the world, but the fans are the reason it's been so magical. She’s so blown away by how nice they are to her. It's strange to feel so understood by such a large group of people, but she love it. She spent two years working on her album, RED. She called it that because of the tumultuous, crazy adventures in love and loss that it chronicles. In her mind, when you experience love that's fast paced and out of control and mixes infatuation, jealousy, frustration, miscommunication, and all of those lovely emotions. In retrospect, it all looks red.

She is portrayed as an old lady who has too much pride and wants to be in the know of every tiny piece of gossip in town. In the beginning of the story, it gives the readers the impression that she was a sweet old lady who takes much pride in her rose bush and enjoys the town gossip too much. Ms. Strangeworth comes off as prideful, intrusive and blunt. Ms. Strangeworth was portrayed as prideful throughout the story when she took so much pride in her rose bush which had been passed down to her by her family. She explained to everyone, including tourists who just pass through the town about how she inherited this magnificent rose bush and the first house ever built on Pleasant Street by her grandfather. She believed that she deserved much appreciation, honor and gratitude from the people of the small town because of her grandfather. Her when the town decided to put up a statue of Ethan Allen instead of her grandfather, she was disappointed and muttered “ but it should have been a statue of my grandfather. There wouldn’t be a town here at all if it hadn’t been for my grandfather and the lumber mill.” This shows the readers that she believed that the town was her’s and no one else’s. In the text, it claims that Ms. Strangeworth would not give out or share her flowers with anyone else because she believed that the roses belonged within her household. “.. it bothered Ms. Strangeworth to think of people wanting to carry them away, to take them into strange towns, and down strange streets.” Even when people requested for her beautiful roses for the town’s church, she would refuse. “When the new minister came, and the ladies were gathering flowers to decorate the church, Miss Strangeworth sent over a great basket of gladioli.” This tells us that she is very protective of her roses and would not even spare a…

In the first paragraph alone, many important aspects of the narrator's character are revealed. It is revealed to the reader that the narrator was in love and is grieving for the woman he loved. It is also in the first paragraph where the major conflict is revealed. The major conflict, in which the narrator is involved, is his own torment from the memory of his dead wife. This is evident when the narrator says, "When I saw our room again, our bed, our furniture, everything that remains of the life of a human being after death – I was seized by such a violent attack of fresh grief that I felt like opening the window and throwing myself onto the street." Initially, the author intends the reader to feel sorry for the narrator and his loss. The thing that motivates the narrator in the conflict is his resolution to finish grieving before it consumes him. This is evident when he says, "Happy is the man whose heart forgets everything that it has contained."…

The unforgettable novel of a childhood in a sleepy Southern town and the crisis of conscience that rocked it, “To kill a mockingbird” takes readers to the roots of human behavior. Compassionate, dramatic, and deeply moving “To Kill a mockingbird” revolves around the finch family, a family in which the father Atticus has raised his two kids Jem and Scout in a way to see beyond the crippling power of racism, and into the eyes of a respectable man. But when Atticus is appointed to defend a black man, Tom Robinson, who has been charged with rape of a white woman, the town begins to lose its composure, and sides both against tradition, and with it. It is during this time, that the character Dolphus Raymond emerges. Dolphus is unlike any other member in the community; he believes colored folk should be both respected, and loved. He fell in love with a black woman, married her, and has forever lost respect from many citizens of Maycomb County. But it is also in this image that he gained a lot of respect, not only by Atticus, but from many of the other “Respectable White men”. A man who doesn’t care about his image, Dolphus Raymond is respectable, misleading, and is the very picture of the statement “Don’t judge a book from its cover”.…

The character in I’m a Fool is a 19 year old boy, who will be referred to as the Swipe, his occupation, since his name was not mentioned in the story. Similar to most common people, the Swipe likes “feeling grander and more important” (pg.94) while he does not like “putting on too many airs” (pg.93). He is introduced as a “big lumbering fellow” (pg.91) who could not get a job because he “had gotten too big to mow people’s lawns and sell newspapers” (pg.91). Since he could not just stay home, and there was no other works to get, he took a job as a swipe of the race horses. The physical weaknesses, being big and strong, that restricted him of getting other jobs changed into the physical strengths when he became a swipe. On top of the physical weaknesses and strengths, the Swipe’s personal weaknesses are also well shown. As the story is being told in first person point of view, it is clearly shown through the ways of speaking that the Swipe is uneducated. He keeps on saying “Gee whizz” and “Gosh amighty” repeatedly whenever he is surprised, or is happy, or doesn’t know what to say. This shows his lack of vocabulary usages due to having no sophisticated education. More personal weaknesses are revealed as the Swipe lies in front of the girl he likes, impulsively without thinking of the consequences that will follow, to hide his embarrassing real identity as a swipe.…
