COMPANY BACKGROUND
Burger Machine is the market leader of the burger-on-wheels segment of Philippine’s Food Industry of 90”s, because it is the first burger stand in the Philippines it earned it’s “the National Burger Stand of the Philippines”. Burger Machine is not the resto type, it has been consistent in identifying itself as 'the-burger-next-door'; you can see it everywhere, in every block, and in every corner possible. It is open 24 hours, and it called itself as "the burger that never sleeps".
It was created in 1981 by Fe Esperanza S. Rodriguez and a sister who both planned to turn two old small buses into mobile stores, an idea they adapted from America. It was their fondness for hamburgers that inspired them to make a business that would serve for the masses.
The stores were then opened near two gas stations in Quezon City. From a capital of 40,000 pesos this burger stand began to open more branches on different cities in Manila. In 1990, the Corporate Office in EDSA started and was called EDSA Business Unit. It was also in this year when the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology confirmed their burgers as “source of the most nutrients in terms of peso value compared to other leading hamburger chains.”It grows wider and wider and it launches its stalls and full-scale fast food restaurants. It improves its products from time thru time, they put different looks and gimmicks to the burgers they sell , they sell bulilit burgers it is a small burger for only 5 pesos, roast beef burger, longganisa burger, hotdog sandwich and all of these can be bought for only less than 25 pesos (old price).
