I felt a lot of self-satisfaction today. It was very fast pace of course, the self-satisfaction came from being successful when helping others. Today I had several people come back to me and tell me thank you for helping them. Several of our refugees became citizens on Friday. I had a feeling that I haven’t felt in along time. After several people told thank you, I started to seethe world in a more positive way I cam to work expecting to just help people. Someone saying thank you to me just completely changed my way. Its like they were say I understand how hard you work and I truly appreciate everything you do. I noticed that I address the client in a more positive manner also. I always try my best with everything, I just feel like I was a little bit more productive today. I was able to contact Medicaid insurance and got over three people full coverage. We had a pizza party for the children today because it was the last day of English classes for them a the Mary’s outreach center. Today was a good day. Yesterday was a rollercoaster of a day...well, this year has been a rollercoaster itself anyway! I want to write this for myself...to remind me that the glory belongs to God and to Him only. None of it would've been possible without Him. I am not that special but He saw me and believed in me. Yesterday, finally, I got my degree as a Doctor...A DOCTOR!!!!!! :)...what a huge, incredible word; It has been a wondrous road since I came to this country 14 years ago: So much has happen along the way! I remember I didn't speak English, I didn't know the culture, nobody in my family had ever graduated from college, we grew up so poor, hope was scarce in many areas and on top of that my family didn't even believed or taught me about love, at the end I decided to come following my heart and the man I thought it was the one. It is truth that heartbreak came but blessings came too: I got my baby girl and kept going day by day learning, studying, raising her, loving her and Him. I had to go through some discrimination, some hate, some isolation, even a miscarriage but guess what? with Him I survived because He sent many more blessings including a sweet man and a beautiful baby boy...speaking of underserved…

The best day of my life is when we were deer hunting this year and I got a huge buck. It was the most gigantic buck I have ever seen. We were pushing a field in the middle of the day and we saw it. I was so delighted after I shot it and so was all of my family. It really wasn't about the buck though it did coach me a few lesson. I sat in that stand for four mornings and four nights and I wasn't seeing anything and I really was getting agitated but my dad said stick with it. My uncle said he saw the deer when he was harvesting and couldn't believe how enoumorus it actually was. So I did just what my father had told me.…

Six months after I got married, I had the happiest day of my life. This was December 14, 2000, the day I gave birth to my son. When the day began I was afraid, I did not know what to expect, I had never done this before. On that Thursday afternoon at 2:28 p.m., I had my son, and all the fear I had turned into the purest happiness I had ever experienced. After giving birth I knew that nothing would be able to top the feelings of joy and bliss that day brought me. For me becoming a mother is the best feeling I ever had.…

For the rest of my life there are two days that will never again trouble me. The first day is yesterday with all its blunders and tears, its follies and defeats. Yesterday has passed forever bye my control. The other day is tomorrow with its pitfalls and threats, its dangers and mystery. Until the sun rises again, I have no stake in tomorrow, for it is still unborn. With God's help and only one day to concentrate all my effort and energy on, this day, I can win! Only when I add the burden of those two frightening eternities, yesterday and tomorrow, am I in danger of faltering under the load. Never again! This is my day! This is my only day! Today is all there is! Today is the rest of my life and I resolve to conduct myself through every waking hour in the following manner. . . . For the rest of my life, this very special day, God help me . . . to heed the wise advice of Jesus and Confucius and Zoroaster and treat me. To maintain a rein on my tongue and my temper, guarding against foolish moments of faultfinding and insults. To greet all those I encounter with a smile instead of a frown, and a soft word of encouragement instead of disdain or even worse, silence. To be sympathetic and attentive to the sorrows and struggles of others, realizing that there are hidden woes in every life no matter how exalted or lowly. To make haste to be kind to all others, understanding that life is too short to be vengeful or malicious, too soon ended to be petty or unkind. For the rest of my life, this very special day, God help me. To keep reminding myself that in order to harvest more ears of corn in the fall, I must plant more kernels in the spring. To understand that life always rewards me on the terms that I establish, and if I never perform or deliver more than that for which I am paid, never will I have reason to demand or expect and additional gold. To always deliver more than is expected of me, whether at work, at play, or…
