INATTENTIONAL BLINDNESS
Inattentional blindness, also known as perceptual
blindness is a lack of attention. It is not a visual
disorder, but rather the inability to see what
another may clearly see, or unable to see due to
other distractions.
What Causes Inattentional Blindness?
Working Memory/Mental workload
Expectation
Capacity
Conspicuity

Why is Inattentional Blindness a
benefit?
Everyone inattentionally blind in most everything every
single minute of the day.
Inattentional blindness is actually a good thing. The ability to block out unnecessary stimuli in order to focus is beneficial in many way.

When is Inattentional blindness a
Problem?

● When it puts yourself or others in danger.
● When you are unable to carry out everyday tasks
due to stimuli that promotes better results.
