Stratford Upon Avon, is always a place I’ve always had interest in. After all it is the birthplace of the famous William Shakespeare. To travel to the United Kingdom to visit one day is a dream of my own. Just to walk through and experience all of the rich history intrigues me. I first learned about Stratford while I was doing research my freshman year in high school, for a research paper on William Shakespeare and the myths about his death. Ever since then I have had interest about the town that he lived and grew up in. Not only is this paper a project, but it is also a pleasure to fulfill my knowledge. The most captivating thing about Stratford Upon Avon is the fact that you can actually get married there. To get married at one of the most popular historic destinations in the country is amazing. You have the option of getting married in out around the churches in Stratford. And once married you have the option of staying at one of the retreats available for your honeymoon. This is a once in a lifetime experience, and something that’ll always be remembered. In addition to nuptials on the beautiful soil of Stratford. There is a beautiful tropical rainforest to visit, the “Stratford Butterfly Farm.” It is a manmade miniature tropical rainforest. It is Europe’s largest butterfly farm, hosting around 1600 butterflies of over 80 diverse species. While visiting every hour there is 1,500 butterflies that are released to fly freely around the rainforest. As well as the butterflies there is also a caterpillar, insect, and spider room. They have spiders ranging from tarantulas, scorpions, to black windows. Of course these creatures are not roaming freely; they are behind a very thick protective glass. Lastly located in Stratford are many historic landmarks such as: Shakespeare’s birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, and Hall’s Croft.
