Without his blessing, finishing this thesis might become a herculean task. Technology has been a big contribution to the society. It makes life easier and more productive. Perry Rotella a CIO at Verick Analytics once said “Rather than focusing on what I.T. does, an organization should focus on the products and services it “sells” to its business associates”. After the proponents read those words, they realize that why shouldn’t they combine two different things together? How about mixing things that tickle their interest and technology together? That was how the Catdoginator was conceptualized. It is a remote controlled cat/dog feeder that can be operated through a website.
The system starts with a hungry cat or dog. It is divided into two different categories; the hardware and software. The hardware is composed of a feeds dispenser that is being controlled by a high torque direct current motor connected to a control board powered by a WRT54G Linksys Router. The hardware is being monitored by a webcam to ensure that the machine works properly and the cat or dogs is served with a meal. The software is a user-friendly...
