A person who has had a great influence in my life
Life is imperfect. We all have ups and downs in our life. However, there is always a person who will inspire and influence us in our life. Since the day I came to this world, I have met a lot of people but I will always remember there is a person who has had a great influence in my life, my mother.

My mother actually is an ordinary woman with curly medium length brown hair. She has a medium height and average weight which made her looked tall and thin. Year by year, she is getting older. Within these years, I can clearly see grey hair on her head. As she is getting older, she is also getting weaker as she works seven days without rest in a month. Whenever I see her pale face, I will always recall what had happened on that day as if it was yesterday...

That incident happened when I was 15. Many people say that teenagers during this period rebel and are very naughty. I admitted that I was also one of them. Whenever I faced problems or felt stressful, I would try to release it in school. Day by day, my behaviour changed to an undiciplined person. In school, I was a lazy student and did not do my homework or any task that is given by teachers. I though all those tasks are useless for me and it was just wasting my time. As I went to tuition, I felt that was enough for me to face my exam. Therefore, I will always sleep in the class while teachers were teaching. Not only that, I was also selfish person. I would not share my knowledge with others because I was scared as they would get better results than me in exams. However, my mother inspired me after my PMR examination.

On a fine day, I went to school to get my PMR result. I was full with confidence that I could get straight A's in this exam. Things did not go well as I expected. I only managed to get 4A's in my exam. After that, I was down in the dumps. When I went back home, I saw my mother preparing our breakfast as it was only 10 in the morning. At first she decided to have breakfast with me, but she did not call me after seeing my dissapointed face. After a while, she came into my room and started to comfort me. She told me life is like a movie. There will always have some obstacles and failures and we have to overcome them. Failures in life let us grow and learn to be better. She asked me to cheer up and work hard for the next exam. All in all, the phrase that I could barely remember was "You are the creator of your own destiny." that came out from my mother. From that day, I changed myself so that I will not dissapoint her again.

In a nutshell, my mother is the one who really influenced me a lot in my life. Her reading habits will always inspire me that learning is a process without ending in our life. Knowledge is the light to success. I will always remember everything she taught me. I feel so grateful to have such a great mother in my life.

My fortunate day is the day I got my mother back from the death. It was about five years ago. My mother has got Hyperthyroidism. My father and I visited her at the hospital. When she woke up, she told us about the story during a long way to the hospital. She called, “My experience of Hyperthyroidism.” She started telling that when she was attacked by this symptom, her body was terrible shaking. Her co-worker phoned an ambulance to take her to the hospital. While the car was heading to the hospital, something bad happened. The car had to stop because of the ambulance’s siren could not be heard blaring and other users on the road did not give way to the emergency vehicle. Day by day, I used to stay by her side. She would disconnect the ‘tubes’ from her machine to give me just enough room to stay on the bed with her. Until that day after my 6th birthday that I wasn’t able to wake her up no matter how hard I tried…. Everyone around me except my father was crying, and was convincing me that my mother’s in a better place and is looking down at us now. Of course, I didn’t really have a clue on what was going on, my mother was a beautiful, beautiful woman. My life would be so much different if I get to grow up beside her. My grades might’ve been better if she at least had a chance to help me out with my school works or perhaps if my father only pays attention to me as a child as much a he…

My mother went out from the kitchen. Look at her, I mumbled, "Good afternoon mom." I tried to avoid by looking to other direction. Suddenly, my mother sighs. "Go and take a bath." I nodded quietly and quickly went to the bathroom. I said to myself, "All right, so everything is finished." I thought such thing was over, but I was wrong. The next day, there was something different at my mom. She did not wash the dishes clean.
