English 12A: Period 4

Ever since I was 5 years old, I have always been interested in two careers and that I’ve wanted to pursue. The first career I wanted to do is nursing because since I was young my parents made me interested in the medical field; I wanted to do nursing because I like helping people who are injured. People who are nurses in my family are my mom and dad; I like this career maybe because helping people is in my blood, my mom is the one who mostly inspired me in doing nursing. The only reason why I and my brother and sister is having a good life is because of my mom, my family we use to live in a life where life is harsh and barely food on the table. She’s the one who motivated me more to become a nurse because of how she helps my family, the reason why is because she got a job offer to be an RN in the U.S.
My second choice of career is to join the marines or navy if nursing does not work out for me. My one goal in life is to just find something that I would love to do for the rest of my life and stick with it, and that would definitely be accomplished if I went into the military field. The reason I want to do this is because I want to explore the world and stop evil around the world. I could see myself in the military helping people and saving them. The fact is, people join the military for thousands of different reasons, yet the end result is always service at a price, and at its most selfless. I am compelled to serve, sacrifice and persevere to ensure the guarantees of freedom and liberty, and to be part of something bigger than my own self. I want to make the point clear that I am not only aware of this responsibility, but feel confident and ready to be accountable on this level. This has been my dream, and I have prepared myself for this role, both on paper and in my heart.
