Title: A Christmas Memory
Author: Truman Capote
Truman Capote (1924-1984) was born in New Orleans, but his father deserted the family, and the boy was moved from place to place while his mother lived in New York. For several years, Capote attended military school, which he hated. When he was seventeen, he abandoned formal schooling for good and moved to New York City to learn to write. He came to national prominence when he was just twenty four years old, with the publication of his first novel, Other Voiced, Other Rooms in 1948. Capote most famous novel is probably Breakfast at Tiffany’s in 1958; it was made into a movie. His most talked – about book is not fiction at all, but an account of mass murder that took place in Kansas, it is called In Cold Blood. Capote called the book a nonfiction novel- a narrative that reads like a novel but with events that are all true.

* Characters:
* Buddy-> A 7 year old boy who lived with his relatives; who’s best friend was an old lady. * The woman-> She was an old lady who was very religious; she was Buddy’s best friend and long distance cousin; she had shorn white hair; her shoulders were pitifully hunched and her face was remarkable. * Queenie->She was a little white and orange rat terrier; she had survived distemper and two rattlesnake bites.

* Problem- The woman was afraid if dying without seeing the Lord.
