ZZ and his sun

Somewhere in the middle of a hill, there lived a happy colony of ants.   ZZ was one of them.   ZZ was a handsome ant, and he was half the size of the raindrop. His body was shiny brown and he had very strong legs.   He lived with his family in a dark and well-built tunnel.   Being so young, energetic, and eager, he just wanted to have a chance to get out there one day and discover the world.   To figure out what are on those giant trees that bear the huge fruits that only two of them would be enough to feed his entire colony for 2 months.   Or figure out where the bees got their honey.   Everyone knew that honey was such a luxurious and rare food that maybe only the queen had the chance to eat.

That day came.   ZZ woke up that morning, feeling so fresh but so frustrated at the same time.   “I have to go and discover the world today!!!”   He started packing some food, water, and his favorite sword, and then off he went.

He left the tunnel.   ‘It is rather cold today,’ he thought.   “And it’s not as light up as I thought either.   I need to go find the sun.   Maybe I can find one for myself.”   Excited, he walked and occasionally stops to look at a few strange bugs and to try the sweetest taste of morning dew that fortunately was still on the humongous green grass.   “They usually disappear so quickly right after the sun comes up.   It must be my lucky day.”

So ZZ continued walking.   Soon enough he saw this mountain range that he could not see the top.   He looked up.   It was so high and almost vertical that the next thing he could see was the blue sky.   “There’s no way that I am coming back now.   I cannot tell my parents that I gave up on my journey because of this silly mountain and not find out what else are on the other side of it.   Besides, I am determined to find my sun.”   So he started to climb up that mountain; he kept climbing and climbing.   “I need to at least get to the top of this mountain before dusk so that I can rest and eat something.”   It...
