ABSTRACT This paper comprises study about Tan Sri Dato Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia (Malaysian Central Bank). This paper emphasize on Tan Sri Dato Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz’s educational background, family background, and her contribution to banking industries as a governor of Bank Negara Malaysia. This paper also discuss about how her behavior, thoughts, personal attributes, contribute to the banking industries. And what makes her become a Governor and how her behavior, thoughts, personal attributes give impact to the writer, to her staff and the organization itself.

INTRODUCTION Tan Sri Dato Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz is an Asian woman, to be more precise, a Malaysian woman who has so many fans among financial sector. Everyone talk about her, not only locally, also internationally. She become famous after she had made a drastic action during the financial crisis. She famous because, of her bravery, courage, simple ness, broad thinking, and so on so forth. This paper analyze Tan Sri Dato Dr Zeti Akhtar, based on three level of analysis, which is, individual analysis, group analysis, and organizational analysis. Individual analysis, analyze Tan Sri Dato Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz’s personal attributes, and her style of management. The Big Five Dimension Personality such as Extraversion and Introversion (Extraverts or Introverts), Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, Emotional Stability, and Openness to Experience used to analyze Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz’s personal attributes and style of management. Extraversion- Introversion is the degree to which individuals are gregarious, assertive, and sociable (extraverts) versus being reserved, timid, and quiet (introverts). It doesn’t make sense if a leader or Governor herself is a introverts. A leader or governor should be gregarious, assertive, and sociable. Then only he or she is a leader. Introverts person cannot become a leader. Conscientiousness is the extent to which individuals are hardworking, organized, dependable, and persevering (High conscientiousness), versus lazy, disorganized, and unreliable (Low conscientiousness). Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz is a person who possesses high conscientiousness that’s why she became a Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia. Agreeableness is the extent to which, individuals are cooperative and warm (highly agreeable) versus cold and belligerent (Highly disagreeable). Cooperation between the staff and leader is important for long term relationships. Highly disagreeable would end up with employee chronic absenteeism and voluntary turnover to escape from adverse organization situations. Emotional Stability is the degree to which individuals are insecure, anxious, depressed, and emotional (emotionally unstable) versus calm, self confident, and secure (emotionally stable). If want to become a leader emotional stability is very important in order to make

situation under control. There is a study shows that, highly emotional person would have low job performance especially a person in negative moods. The person who possesses high positive affectivity will do better decision than a person with high negative affectivity. So that emotional stability is important for better decision. Openness to experience is the extent to which individuals are creative, curious, and cultured (open to experience) versus practical and with narrow interests (closed to experience).
